Hi everyone,I was delighted to be called up to the England squad for the friendlies against the USA and Trinidad & Tobago, and of course to be picked to start each game.When I handed over the captaincy after the 2006 World Cup I never thought I?d wear the armband again, so I was honoured to lead the team out onto the pitch again against Trinidad and Tobago.As for the games, I thought we played very well. We didn?t concede a goal and we won both matches, which was important. For me personally, getting an assist in the game against the USA was a great feeling. I was really pleased that John Terry put it away.
