Hleb to go - Bendtner turns down Germany?s finest
2008-05-09 08:32:00
Before I get onto the bad news, I firstly want to say ’thanks’ to everyone who commented yesterday on the article about Arsene Wenger’s transfer plans. It was so refreshing to see everyone put some thought into their recommendations and refrain from pleading for every Ronaldinho, Kaka or Lionel Messi in the world. Great stuff. Now, onto the bad ...

La pifia de Bendtner
2008-04-03 11:53:00
Ver Video.
Arsenal v Liverpool I: Referee blindness, Bendtner?s leg deny Arsenal a des
2008-04-03 11:21:00
It can be a frustrating process watching Arsenal play and last night’s game was certainly that. Despite dominating possession and making enough clear-cut chances to win the match, Arsene Wenger’s side were held to a 1-1 draw by Liverpool in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie. The home side dominated the early exchanges and were rewarded ...

Bendtner goal the perfect tonic for Arsenal?s trip to Milan
2008-03-02 13:04:00
Arsenal hung onto top spot of the Premiership table after a testing 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa overnight. Arsene Wenger’s side were less than a minute away from suffering a first defeat of the season at Emirates Stadium but substitute Nicklas Bendtner’s late, late goal stole a point from a Villa side that had previously taken the ...
Bendtner keeps Arsenal on top
2008-03-01 22:55:00
Nicklas Bendtner's goal in the dying seconds earned English Premier League leaders Arsenal FC a 1-1 draw at home to Aston Villa FC but Manchester United FC moved within a point with a 3-0 win at Fulham FC. United cruiseArsène Wenger's side were set to lose top spot on goal difference but Bendtner pounced ten seconds from the end of three added minutes to cancel out a first-half Philippe Senderos own goal and keep them on top of the table. Manchester United had no such troubles against relegation-threatened Fulham with first-half efforts from Owen Hargeaves and Ji-Sung Park followed by a Simon Davies own goal after the interval giving them a comfortable win at Craven Cottage. Chelsea responseChelsea FC bounced back from their defeat in the League Cup final last Sunday with an impressive 4-0 win at London rivals West Ham United FC. Three goals in five first-half minutes killed the game off, with Frank Lampard's penalty, Joe Cole and Michael Ballack finding the net. Lampard was se...
Bendtner and Adebayor up front please, Arsene
2008-03-01 04:51:00
Just a very quick pre-Aston Villa update. Arsene Wenger has revealed that Abou Diaby will be made available for the important clash after recovering from a troublesome calf problem but Alex Song, Tomas Rosicky, Kolo Toure, Johan Djourou, Robin van Persie and of course Eduardo da Silva are all out injured. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Eboue will ...
07/08 arsenal v newcastle, 3-0 and Bendtner walks off
2008-01-30 02:35:00
Newcastle gave this game their all but were outplayed all over the park, and frankly, Arsenal didn't need to step up gears at any point during the game. I'm not going to give a ball-by-ball account, as as usual, other blogs cover this quite well. Suffice to say that Kevin Keegan's Newcastle turned up, but just couldn't match our game play. The fact that both scorelines were 3-0 to the Arsenal for both Saturday's FA cup game and today's Premier League game speaks volumes. Newcastle had a couple of chances, but these were few and far between, and with their confidence as low as it is at the moment, their misses seemed to be accepted with little passion. Flamini's cross in the 40th minute was...
Bendtner Is Five Times the Player Adebayor is?

A day off yesterday after taking care of some private-business matters. I know most of you will be baying for my blood with the chants ‘no holidays for bloggers’, but your efforts will be in vain. My exile is both extremely secure and ultimately secret. Bwahaha.

Making sense of the Bendtner-Adebayor war
2008-01-24 08:46:00
A lot has been said about the clash that occurred between Emmanuel Adebayor and Nicklas Bendtner towards the end of Arsenal’s 5-1 Carling Cup defeat to Tottenham on Tuesday night. While video replays remain inconclusive as to what actually happened, various reports have mentioned everything from Bendtner stepping on Adebayor’s achilles to Adebayor calling the Dane ’s**t’ ...

Bendtner and Almunia Leap to Tottenham?s Misfortune
2007-12-23 06:49:00
This is what Derbies are all about. Form goes out of the window for both sides in what essentially whittles down to a cup match: even if one team is doomed to relegation while the other sits safe in mid-table, the blood and thunder of a derby always remains for some unknown, spiritual reason. ...

Bendtner to Start in Tricky Week for Arsenal
2007-11-27 01:29:00
A handful of news to get through, prior to a Champions League match that is very difficult to call. Wenger has stated that Nicklas Bendtner will be given a rare opportunity to impress for the side tonight, with Cesc Fabregas to start as well. Mathieu Flamini was also expected to start, but recent tests have revealed ...
What?s got Nicklas Bendtner?s goat?
2007-10-24 18:16:00
Coming on for your first Champions League appearance, having been playing in the Championship only last season, and scoring the final goal in a rampant seven goal rout that would see the world take notice of your team - you'd think that'd be the dream of any youngster, wouldn't you? Well, it didn't seem to be enough to raise a smile on the face of our young Danish international, Nicklas Bendtner. While the team celebrated and enjoyed the end of a specatcular performance, Bendtner jogged away from goal, with not so much of the hint of happiness. Why? We all know Bendtner rates his own talent very highly. Nothing wrong with that, and although he has made a few comments to the media, there's nothing enormously controversial in there, especially when you compare it to, say, Jens Lehmann. As a result of this confidence, he feels ready to play regularly for Arsenal. I'm sure he understands that he isn't first choice, but his eyes probably lit up when Van Persie picked up his injury...
Hill-Wood, Gallas and Bendtner all Rabbit on?
2007-09-26 23:26:00
Good morning, one and all. A hasty blog so that I can actually get to work on time. Peter Hill-Wood has done a fair bit of talking lately, speaking about takeover prospects, mostly. If Arsene had left after David Dein, he has been quoted as saying, then Arsenal would have been in foreign hands by now. ...

Blackburn v Arsenal Match Preview Arsenal go to Ewood Park on Sunday night to play their second game of the Premier League season against Blackburn Rovers. AC Milan get revenge whilst Adebayor & Bendtner sign new deals
2007-05-24 03:03:00
Inzaghi scores twice to defeat Liverpool Italian striker Filippo Inzaghi scored two goals in the Champions League final to ensure that AC Milan, not Liverpool, was crowned European Champions. Whilst I thought Liverpool performed quite well - especially in the first half - it was Milan’s defensive resilience that saw them through a tough encounter with ...
Ade?s Wanted, Bendtner Wants It and PSV Are On Their Way
2007-03-06 10:00:03
With PSV looming large on the horizon I think we can take a few positives from the game at the weekend, even if Cesc’s own goal did put the frighteners up us for the last minutes of the match. If we can get at PSV the way did Reading for the first twenty minutes or so of the second half then we’ll have every chance to get the two goals we need to progress to the quarter finals. It was brilliant to see Freddy rolling back the years and roaming the flanks with intent and although he perhaps should have scored at the weekend he looks like a more likely source of goals from midfield than his colleagues at moment. The real dilemma for Le Boss is who to play up front. Theo looked lively in a more central role especially when the game opened up in the second half and the Beast continues to find himself in good areas but is still found a bit lacking in his touch and decision making. If Henry isn’t past fit it’ll be a straight choice between these two and I would fanc...
