Just south of Napier, Hastings is located in the Hawke's Bay region and the wines are superb. We went on a full-day cycling tour of eight wineries through a company called On Yer Bike. They provided us with bikes, water bottles, a packed lunch, a map, and a cell phone. The route took us through olive groves, vineyards and country roads. It was such a nice experience. At the end of the day, we used the cell phone to call the company to let them know which wines we had purchased, and they drove around to the wineries to pick them up. Perfect.
