2008-10-21 07:15:00 Over the past couple of months I have been consumed by guilt. Even though I had tons of ideas and a couple of sleepless nights I did miss a couple of Sugar High Fridays. Guilty! It matters. It's sugar. Allright, so "consumed" is a little strong. Upset that I could not work my schedule right to find an hour to make cupcakes is more realistic. When something I could have done starts bugging me, the smaller it is, the more it bugs me. I can easily forget there is an elephant in the room, but if a tiny little fly starts dancing in my head....It will keep dancing and buzzing until I do something about it. The elephant will still be in the room though.I missed Fanny's S.O.S for cupcakes but I surely was not going to miss Anita's call for SHF spiced up sweets. So when C. and I started to plan her upcoming birtday party, the little fly in my head started to dance, loudly. Tap dancing even. Maybe I could combine both.C: hmm, not sure what I want for dessert for my birthday...Me: Cupcakes!...

I bought her last album...which was fairly entertaining, but kind of fell flat in my opinion. I'm always amused when young starlets come out of Hollywood and sit in their million dollar mansions and write about how hard it is to be them. I remember when Ashlee started out, her role model was Courtney Love. Now she's rocking a new nose and chin and a homosexual future husband. While I can't say she's a good role model, in this third album she attempts to sell herself out by going even more poppy and releasing these Timbaland inspired tracks...which I'm all for. 1. Outta My Head (Ay Ya Ya): Kind of Bangles-meets-Bar Mitzvah karaoke performance in 1982. I actually kind of like the track. Not originally, but it's grown on me. The chorus is what brings it home. 2008-01-31 20:47:00 Bittersweet chocolate syrup recipe ingredients: 250 ml (milliliter) water 200 grams sugar 10 grams vanilla sugar (or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract) Pinch salt 100 grams cocoa powder 2 cubes dark chocolate (about 20 grams) 1 tablespoon rum Homemade chocolate syrup recipe instruction: Pour sugar, vanilla and salt in water and cook it in low temperature to melt. Gradually whisk cocoa in melted sugar, add chocolate and rum in it and cook it for 5 minutes more. Whisk the syrup all the time to be without lumps. Remove your homemade chocolate syrup from the heat and while it’s still hot, pour it in a warm sterilized syrup bottle. Let it cool down to become thicker and then it’s ready for your pancakes, ice cream or whatever you like it to use. You can make your chocolate syrup recipe without rum if you don’t like it. I am thrilled for him and his wonderful new bride,Megan, as well as their beautiful baby boy, but the entire occasion was a little nostalgic for me.I was 15 when Ken was born. When he was about 9 months old he came to live with us. My parents doted on him as the sun rose and set upon his curly little head. He was 13 when we lost my dad, and only 20 when we lost Mom last December.They would have loved seeing him get married. Mom knew and adored Megan, and I know Dad would have as well. Meg keeps Kenny in line . . . and God love him, he needs the guidance. I really would have gotten a kick out of seeing how proud my parents would have been, seeing their handsome grandson beginning a his adult life and cementing his family together.I very happy that Ken & Meg's beautiful, redheaded curly haired little boy will continue to carry on the family name.
