Busy Girl tried out for club (travel) volleyball a couple of weeks ago. It's very competitive, so we had no idea how things would turn out, especially since she's not played club before (the season she just finished was the school team). She's very good, but didn't have a stellar night at the second night of tryouts, so we were pretty sure she'd make a third team (1 being best). I often look at my ranking at blogtopsite and topblogarea, and I'd be lying if I say it's ok that it's going down and I am not worried. Because the truth is, I am worried about my ranking going too low during my slow down mode. I know... I know... I'm blogging for me and I shouldn't be worried about traffic and ranking. However, as much as I enjoy blogging and I'm blogging for the love of blogging, I am also hoping that the little income I earn through the ads in my blog would help supplement the income I'd be losing because I went part-time. And as all of us bloggers know, blog income is almost always directly proportional to blog traffic. More importantly, I really enjoy "being connected to you, my blogging friends" and a slow down mode reduces that connectedness, in my opinion. Steven is going to Westminster to give out a new price sheets of his converters and I cant stand it to be alone in the house in this kind of weather. So even though I have a mild headache due to lack of sleep, I tag along with him and take a little nap going to Westminster, Maryland. It was an hour ride going there thats why I got the chance to let myself drowse a bit. The road was foggy too, if thats me driving, I would be having a hard time because I can barely see a thing. 2008-02-03 18:04:00 so many things have happened lately that i dont even know where to start. was so drained the whole exam week that come saturday, my friends and i saw the need to regenerate, hence, we partied! our exam was finished at around 12 noon. was planning to nap to make up for those sleepless hours but my friends were feeling a bit gloomy with the exam week ending. it was like the end of classes, like a long break was on the way, like we were not seeing each other anymore, *knock on wood*. so after we had lunch at our fave fast food shop at pua, my friends accompanied me home. they just gave me 15 mins to change. i was letting them go to enrico’s but they said they dint “trust” me. they had this feeling daw that i would be late. again. haha. they know me so well. so after changing, we had a few rounds, (a few is an understatement!). we met some new friends as well. yeah we started drinking at 2 and ended at 10. early, you might say, but for us who have already been slaving ...

2008-01-19 04:25:00 I ended up having to go to the luncheon today, where they were teaching all about “how to be a lady”. I sat there, in my Sunday best thinking that if they didn’t hurry up I was going to slip my heels off. I really need to start dressing up more often, because I seriously can’t do heels any more. I wear sneakers all the time and normally jeans and t-shirts, and today was just terrible. My feet are still hurting. I’m tempted to go soak them for a while and see if it helps. One would think that expensive dress shoes would be comfy, but they are just as bad as the cheap ones. So now, not only are my feet hurting, but so is my head for spending all that money on shoes that I can’t wear!

Every morning show has a segment on how to lose weight, budget, date better, etc…I have decided this year to resolve to grow spiritually. You won’t hear about that on any morning show. You won’t hear Diane Sawyer say if you really want a happy new year read your Bible more. Matt Lauer is not telling you to pray on a regular basis, and Chris Cuomo (New guy on Good Morning America) won’t say if you really want to get your finances in order you should pay your tithe to God. I know it all sounds a little to easy but I think growing spiritually would be an easier resolution than resolving to lose weight, manage money better or anything else you could resolve to do. The great thing about growing spiritually is once you do, all the other areas in your life can fall into place. So if you want to lose weight pray that God will help you to seek his peace and like th... |
