2007-08-22 19:19:00 Blaqk Audio's album "Cexcells" was released last week, and I forgot about it. If you don't know about them, Blaqk Audio is an electro-rock band side project of some members of A.F.I., the only emo-looking band from the '00s that I really have no problem with. The vocals on "Cexcells" do nothing for me, but the production on the beats and instrumentals is amazing. I bought the entire album on iTunes just so I can pull the songs apart and use samples of the instrumentals. Check it out on iMeem.

It's an electronically fueled album that's great for those of you hardcore to Electronica as well as those just looking for a catchy tune and some nice vocals. I just got the album myself but after scrambling through a few tracks I have to say I am pleasantly surprised by how good of an album it is. 2007-03-14 12:40:00 I'm listening to the new track, "Bitter for Sweet", right now. Again. And again and again. This is Jade Puget (synthesizer-electronical goodness) and Davey Havok (vocals) of AFI, and while I admit, I currently (and probably forever) have an unhealthy obsession for this little punk-goth-sorta-hardcore-dare-I--even-say-EMO band from the East Bay, even YOU will have to admit this new project is fucking amazing.So go. Listen. Fall in love like I have. And if you hate it, fine. I'll still be shaking my veritable money-maker and praying for some sort of club tour in the near future.
