BLINK 182'S DRUMMER AND DJ AM HURT IN PLANE CRASH
2008-09-21 04:23:00 Blink 182 alum Travis Barker and Nicole Richie's ex boyfriend, DJ AM, have been hospitalized after surviving a plane crash that killed four other people. After performing at a college concert in Columbia, South Carolina on Friday night, the rockers boarded a Learjet headed for California, which took off shortly before midnight. According to Federal Aviation Administration spokeswoman Kathleen Bergen, air traffic controllers reported seeing sparks upon takeoff as the plane ran off the runway through a fence and then caught fire. Two crew members and two passengers were killed ? the pilot, co-pilot, Travis Barker's assistant and his bodyguard. TMZ reports Travis and DJ-AM (aka Adam Goldstein) jumped out of the door of the burning plane almost immediately after the crash. Both were taken to a burn center in Augusta, Ga. and are currently listed in critical but stable condition.

However, if people get the chance to click their mouse and move away because their perception tells them there's no point to going deeper, it means impact is everything. Recent research conducted by the University of Vienna shows just how fast people process visual information. Its study focused on art and asked subjects to compare similarities and differences in various pieces. Researchers found that subjects could register content in less than 1/100th of a second. Within 1/20th of a second subjects had already started to interpret style. All this happening before recognition of the whole object.
