Ron Paul On CNN's Situation Room With Wolf Blitzer
2008-05-03 00:29:00 CNN's Wolf Blitzer had Ron Paul in the Situation Room today via satellite to talk to him about Paul's new book, the Republican and Democratic Parties, why Paul is hasn't dropped out of the presidential race, and more. Blitzer said that Paul's Revolution: A Manifesto is already a huge best-seller. Paul mentioned the voting records of John McCain, Hillary Clinton, and Barack Obama; but when Wolf asked if Ron Paul had to pick one of those three candidates for President, he said I would think the one who would most likely keep us from expanding the war is probably Obama.
No Florida Revote - CNN's Wolf Blitzer Insults Florida As Not Having Act T
2008-03-17 22:48:00 This is being explained as "breaking news" as I watch CNN's "The Situation Room". The Florida government and legislature has given up on the idea of having a revote. So the matter of any possible Clinton delegate gain from a Florida revote is officially gone from the Florida perspective. The Chair of the Democratic Party in Florida said that even if the DNC paid for the revote, it could not be done. Wolf Blitzer just insulted Florida by stating they could not get their act together! The Florida Democratic Party said that it's up to the Obama and Clinton campaigns to settle the matter. He's said it again, stating that he hopes Michigan can get it's act together.
Wolf ?So Poor And So Black? Blitzer Returns to NOLA
2008-02-15 22:56:00 More anguished ponderings from one of our country?s pre-eminent corporate media shills thus ensures (here). And as noted here, the NBA will hold its All-Star game in New Orleans this weekend, where the Hornets, the home team, are actually playing some pretty good basketball. And according to legendary New York Knicks great (and Louisiana resident) Willis Reed???sometimes you read, look at television, I see the same footage every time. Every time it comes on the air, I see New Orleans still under water. New Orleans is not still under water. But people think that.?That?s important to note, sure, but it?s also important to note how far New Orleans has to go; kudos to the NBA, though (including LeBron James here) for trying to give the city a shot in the arm, as opposed to the snub it received from the Commission on Presidential Debates last year (here). And this New York Times editorial today tries to ?light a fire? under FEMA and get that beleaguered agency to find new housing for victim...

2008-01-03 16:53:00 As election time nears, it’s easy to get distracted by the all the hullabaloo of mass media coverage. The CNN Wolf Blitzer email from Benazir Bhutto !
2007-12-28 21:53:00 LALATE BREAKING NEWS: The Wolf Blitzer email from Benazir Bhutto  I can’t recall hearing something like this … EVER! A world leader sending an email to a reporter saying to save this email in case I am murdered, because I might be. CNN’s Wolf Blitzer was reportedly sent an e-mail sent through an intermediary from (now killed) Pakistani opposition leader Benazir Bhutto in which she complains about her security. In the email, Bhutto tells Blitzer to never use the email … unless she is killed! Bhutto was assassinated yesterday. Now that email is being published. In it she writes if anything happened to her, “I would hold (Pakistani President Pervez) Musharraf responsible.” The email came through a 3rd person on Oct. 26, Mark Siegel, a friend and longtime Washington spokesman for Bhutto. The email came after only 8 days when she avoided another attack on her life. The email is shocking. (more…)

Bill Maher With Wolf Blitzer
2007-09-19 08:14:00 Bill Maher, talked with Wolf Blitzer, in the Situation Room about the war in Iraq, President Bush and Gen Petraeus, the reasons the Democrats have failed to bring a stop to Iraq, Sen Larry Craig skit on his show, Real Time and a host of other topics.Bill brought the truth out about the Democrats not being able to stop this war, simply because they just do not have enough votes to do so. He suggests that we go back to the voting booths and elect more Democrats to office to make changes with their votes.Bill Maher discussed the MoveOn ad, and how the Republicans brought up Hillary Clinton, in the middle of the situation to keep all concentration away from President Bush and General Petraeus. The surge and the report by General Petraeus was nothing more than a Bush doctrine. Most, if not all Democrats already knew what his report would be about and as always, the President and his hand pick people, did not let us down.President Bush and General Petraeus lied to America, wh...

Dust-Ups Punctuate Blitzer Interviews
2007-07-22 19:18:00 NEW YORK (AP) - Wolf Blitzer’s in the news again. CNN’s colorful, attack-dog journalist was involved in another on-air confrontation, this time with “Sicko” filmmaker Michael Moore. Wait a minute. THAT Wolf Blitzer? The only thing colorful about the methodical, old-school reporter is his first name. Yet with Moore, Vice President Cheney and Lynne Cheney, that makes ...

Michael Moore and Wolf Blitzer-Communist lying technique on display
2007-07-13 04:39:00 Behold, the face of Health Care Reform: My dad used to tell me that when communists were confronted with difficult questions (most of my relatives lived in a communist country), they were trained to either change the subject or ask another question. What a perfect example of the bullying, deceptive, and disgustingly self-righteous left we have in this clip. Three observations: 1. Notice that Moore never answers any legitimate question he's asked. 2. When Moore says that he was right about what was to happen in Iraq in his Bizarromentary, Fahrenheit 9/11, does he mean that Fahrenheit 9/11 is intended as a Nostradamus-like prophesy? Isn't a documentary supposed to be about what happened, not somebody's predictions? Even if he means it to be an example of Moore's precognitive abilities, where, in the film, does he include it? Really, I'll subject myself to another two hours of banal lies just to catch the part where he predicts the the bombing of the Samarra shrine and the...

Eric Allen: Sean Taylor a Top 5 Blitzer
2007-04-10 19:12:00 Hat tip: Extreme Skins. ESPN's Eric Allen names his top five blitzers, a list that includes Shawne Merriman, Jason Taylor, Ray Lewis, Troy Polamalu, and... Sean Taylor: I'd love to see him used more in this regard because he's a heat-seeking missile. He has a load of aggression, and once he gets going, the hit he delivers will be ferocious. While certainly not backed up by Taylor's two career sacks, Eric Allen might as well have just said that Taylor is a ferocious hitter. Heading into 2007, I hope the Redskins bolstered secondary (which now has the added benefit of playing without Mike Rumph on the field) allows Gregg Williams to focus more on blitzing, a tactic lacking to devastating effect last year. If Taylor hits a QB, that ball just won't stay in hand. And remember that Taylor is productive after the turnover as well. It was his 51 yard fumble recovery that gave us the W against Tampa Bay in the 2005 postseason. Just as it was his 30 yard penalized blocked FG return that ...

Sen. Barack Obama Interview with Wolf Blitzer on CNN
2007-03-28 19:11:00 Sen. Barack Obama was interviewed this afternoon by CNN's Wolf Blitzer, addressing several major recent news items. Perhaps the most personal topic to Sen. Obama was that of John McCain's strategy to "indefinitely employ troops to Iraq." "John McCain may believe that it's an option for us to maintain an indefinite occupation of Iraq, regardless what happens in terms of politics within Iraq, so that we're every year sending $100 billion over to Iraq, so that every year we're seeing hundreds or thousands of young Americans dying, so that we continue to see a deterioration of America's standing in the world," the Democratic presidential candidate told CNN's Wolf Blitzer. "I don't think that serves the best interests of the United States, and I don't think it will ultimately result if the kind of stabilization in Iraq that's necessary."Sen. Obama was also asked about recent comments made by Rev. Al Sharpton regarding Obama's prospects of gaining black votes, merely...

Cheney Doesn't Take Bait When Blitzer Tries to Politicize His Daughter's Pr
2007-01-27 01:37:01 When I had first heard the Mary Cheney, the daughter of the Vice President, was pregnant, I thought to blog on it. But, I hesitated for two reasons. First, other bloggers had already said pretty much what I wanted to say. Second, it seemed to me that Mary's pregnancy indicated that, after her time in the limelight, she and Heather wanted to settle down to a private, domestic life. And it wasn't really my business to comment on her private life. Now, some gay activists are in a huff that the Vice President called CNN's Wolf Blitzer "out of line" for asking him to comment on a statement made by Focus on the Family, a socially conservative organization, critical of his daughter's pregnancy. Roberta Sklar, spokesman for the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force (NGLFT) said that such questions were "completely appropriate." I disagree. Reader Peter Hughes sent me a link to this post where Tim Graham asks, "When has a Democratic national candidate’s sons or daughters ever been th...

Wolf Blitzer was Howard Sterned
2006-08-24 19:15:08 Captain Janks has struck again!Yesterday, the notorious prank caller and Howard Stern fan - real identity: North Wales, Pa., gas-station employee Thomas Cipriano scammed his way onto CNN’s "The Situation Room."In a live 4 p.m. phone interview with star anchor Wolf Blitzer (below), Cipriano impersonated Wendy Hutchens, a California woman who claims that five years ago she had detailed chats about the death of JonBenet Ramsey with creepy murder suspect John Mark Karr."Wendy Hutchens is joining us on the phone right now," Blitzer told viewers. "Wendy, thanks very much for doing this. Tell our viewers how you got involved with John Mark Karr." In a husky voice that kept changing register, the fake Wendy explained that she met Karr through a relative."So then what happened after that?" Blitzer pressed. "When did the E-mail, when did the talk of JonBenet Ramsey begin?" The fake Wendy answered: "It started around September of... |
