The Brattleboro Winter Carnival, Brattleboro, VT features a pancake breakfast, sleigh rides, music performances including country/western jamboree, karaoke, square dance, ice fishing derby, queen's pageant, ice skating show, Vermont's distinctive sugar on snow (hot maple syrup poured on snow which makes a maple flavored taffy), $1 movies, petting zoo, torchlight parade on the ski slope, and other family friendly activities. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the carnival, there will be fireworks and a revival of the traditional Snow Ball, a semi-formal dance that was once a highlight of the carnival.Brattleboro is in southeastern Vermont town and is known for its 70-metre ski jump.
