My best friend told me YEARS ago that getting her bikini line waxed was one of the best things she ever did but I never really considered it.....even though I am tortured every year when I "let it go" a little too much in winter and then have to "shape it back up" when bathing suit season arrives (I know...ewwww...) Well anyways...since I have become a bi-monthly regular at Zaibees here in Dallas and was going to get an early jump on summer in Mexico this year, I decided to give it a go. I admit, I was really nervous...laying there with my legs splayed open didn't sound too appealing to me. Thank god for black underwear is all I gotta say on that one. 2007-10-25 05:02:00 On July 7, 1942, on the island of Saipan, 3000 wounded Japanese soldiers , left their field hospital beds and attacked an American supply depot with rocks, shovels and clubs. The defenders were a hand full of Black Marine supply clerks with no combat experience. For the first time since the civil war, United States military officers allowed African American troops to take up arms, instead of cook or unload cargo. All but a few of the Japanese Troops were killed. The dead were buried with a bulldozer. That kind of courage ( On both sides ) comes from a sense of duty, love of country, dedication to ones comrads in arms. Determination Versus Bravery
2007-04-02 06:09:00 Sometimes, I wonder if its braver to suck it up and stay in an unpleasant situation or just to walk away and give up. If you stay, you're suffering, but its familiar routine. If you quit, sometimes you find yourself missing the old familiar routine and some fun aspects of it that you didn't realize was there before. But it takes bravery to stand up and leave a familiar enviornment behind. Then you have all these sayings like "Winners never quit, quitters never win". I guess I'm one of the losers in between like the picture above; constantly halfway between quitting and continuing on. Always wanting to take the stairs to the fitness centre but ending up on the escalators anyways.*sigh*
