2008-01-27 01:44:00 So considering most of the polling for Super Tuesday states include an extremely large amount of "undecideds" it makes sense to look at where the late breaking votes are going. According to exit polling... 51% of those who decided in the last three days chose Barack Obama, 26% chose John Edwards, while only 21% chose Hillary Clinton. Now granted, these results may end up being fairly similar to final results... so it may not mean much. But at the end of the day you have to take into consideration that about 7-8 weeks ago Clinton led Obama in South Carolina by double digits. In fact ARG had a poll taken at the end of November showing Clinton with a 24 point lead. The last round of polling averaged out to a fairly substantial double digit lead for Obama, but certainly not in the range that we look to be seeing tonight. So the bottom line is that Obama far exceeded expectations in South Carolina across the board. Probably even in the white Vote where he got 24% to Hillary's 38%....
