Existem ainda muitas questőes sobre se Albert DeSalvo, um publicista que confessou os crimes e que foi mais tarde esfaqueado na cadeia, foi de facto o autor dos crimes. Intanto ha vinto per il coraggio di mettersi in gioco portando il suo film in concorso e non in facili alternative fuori concorso come “Maestri” o “Orizzonti”. E poi ha vinto per il suo coraggio di creare un’opera del genere.
