India ranks behind Russia and Indonesia. China and Ukraine make up the top five list. United States ranks sixth overall. The report is based on the usage statistics obtained from Opera’s ‘mini’ browser for the month of June 2009. Among the key highlights of the report are the staggering 357.8% growth rate year-on-year for the month of June 2009. The unique users have grown by 32.5% since June 2008. Indian users seem to browse much more on the move compared to their counterparts in USA and UK as shown by the average monthly page views of 375 per user. Google Releases New Browser
2008-09-02 23:21:00 Google beta released its new browser called Chrome today. I of course downloaded it and took it for a test drive. While its decidedly minimalist browser I give it really high marks for speed. It opens fast and loads multimedia laden pages like CNN in the blink of an eye. I've yet to get it to crash which is impressive for a beta version of any program. Given the fact that Google can market the crap out of its browser for free and the fact that Google is known for high quality useful products Microsoft has some serious cause for concern.
