It's worth pointing out straight away that this film has nothing to do with Bruce Lee. In fact, virtually no films with 'Bruce Lee' in the title are about Bruce Lee. There's a lot of guff and hooey-kablooey talked about how Lee TOTALLY CHANGED CINEMA FOREVER, but his impact on the HK film industry, as Bey Logan has pointed out, was negligible. Doing my PhD on Chine, I cant ignore a tad of contemporary Chinese (or Canton) culture. A culture in which Bruce Lee plays an important role. I found the below interview in which Bruce explains his obsession with the "martial arts". I was not aware that his English was so good! I guess the occupation of Hong Kong played a role in that.
