It was a hotel a stone throw’s away from the bustling Orchard road in Singapore, however it retained a regal stature of some sort. So fitting that we had to act so glamorous one day and ought we tried the famous High tea buffet read in blog reviews. We went in at around 2 plus I think and surely we were obviously first timers that we couldn’t seem to settle down which seats we should take. After deliberating, we decided to sit a bit far from the buffet table. We had to order some tea to get the feel of “High tea” in these hard times. We had a coupon from the local newspaper, which was buy 1 get 1 free at any Station casino buffet, plus we had a Boarding Pass card, so this breakfast buffet was $6.99 + tax = $7.53 for two. It seemed like most people had the coupon from the newspaper, so there was a long line. We waited about 30 minutes, and when we were leaving, the line was even longer. We had RFL at Bellagio and we were planning to go to Olives, but we didn't have a reservation and it was all sold out for this day, so we changed our plans and went to this buffet. This was the lunch buffet and about $10 a person.We got here 15-30 minutes before they closed (I think they close between lunch and dinner). And I don't know if that's the reason, but there was only one waitress, also there were nobody at the carving station area. Service was awful, every time we asked for drinks, we had to wait over 5 minutes. I don't think they were actually making the water or Coke so I don't know why it took so long.I ordered orange juice, but it didn't taste like orange juice. It tasted like medicine or fake. I also ordered coffee, and it came in a big mug with lipstick marks and coffee stains on it. Ice cream tasted like medicine also. Dessert was cheap buffet quality, and Chinese food was awful.Overall, the food was awful, there were flying bugs, dirty dishes, and bad service. I don't recommend. Anyway, we heard somebody saying that there is a free spin wheel outside and you can win something so we went to spin the wheel. My husband won 2 for 1 tickets to the Lance Burton magic show, which we already saw, and I won a 2 for 1 buffet coupon. We knew the buffet is terrible here but my husband was hungry, so we decided to use the coupon. It was lunch and $13.95 + tax = $15.03. We were hoping our host could take this off later (they did).Food was terrible. We ordered orange juice, and it took about 10 minutes. We ordered a second glass of orange juice, never got it. Mom was nice enough to babysit and for the first time I was out for a record time of 5 hours.It was a buffet and what a spread there was. I am really into the cold cuts, salads and the raw stuff. Oysters and salmon galore. I must say that they kept the oyster supply coming the whole night. They were fresh and with an extra dash of tabasco sauce, tastes divine.I never liked fresh oysters until I discovered how well it goes with tabasco and a squeeze of lemon. I think between all the ladies and I, we probably ate several dozens. Some of us started with oysters and ended the meal with oysters!The dessert spread was pretty good. I have to confess I had 2 servings of caramel custard, mango and bread butter pudding plus a selection of cakes as well :)There were mini cream puffs as well! Made with fresh cream - my favorite. We ended up paying around rm55 per person to enjoy unlimited serving of mouth-watering sushi!! haha..The serving was fast and the waitress will be there for you to re-order and re-order!..without hanging there for more than 2 minutes, we got our new order served and my mouth was non-stop eating! While the US Justice Department is expected to work carefully, the agency?s track record on consolidation favours approval. ?This administration has taken a very pro-merger stance,? said Diana Moss, a senior fellow at American Antitrust Institute. The Justice Department?s antitrust chief, Thomas Barnett, has said the agency would not ?pre-judge? competition issues and would work as quickly as possible to review any merger. They thought all you can eat really meant all you can eat.As father and son went for their 14th plate an empty buffet and a very apologetic manager waited for them. "I am so sorry Mr. Gore and Mr. Gore Junior but all the food has been eaten, and we are turning away customers." said the the frantic manager. "Do you realize I won the popular vote in 2000" Said a furious elder Gore. He then with his son started licking the remaining buffet plates as other patrons looked on in amazement. Luckily for the Gore boys their was a near by Macdonalds were they were able to exploit the $1 dollar menu, which they refer to as the 5.000 dollar menu.
