Review: Superstars, Sector 18, NOIDA
2008-04-11 13:12:00 I went for lunch today to Superstars in Sector 18, NOIDA with an old friend, who I was meeting after nearly 14 years. They haven’t spared any expense in doing up the place and have probably paid a pretty penny for the decor. A pool table, glass floors, huge bar, a music system that can be ...

Walking, Buffets, BlackJack and more...
2008-04-03 03:31:00 We are back from Las Vegas. This was my first "experience" in Sin City, and overall had a very good time. I'll just say this: next time we will NOT stay 3.5 days, but instead cut it down to 2 full days TOPS. Brad and I, together, had a wonderful time. Friday was great - we walked all over the place, checked out 3 of the major hotels, ate and did some light gambling. Perfect for the first day. We had a slightly harder time trying to figure out how to fill our time, but once we found the penny slots in the Paris hotel, we were good to go! Before I knew it, 2 hours had passed and we had lost all of $2.00. My kind of gambling day! That afternoon, we killed a few hours before meeting up with our friends, who drove way too many hours from the L.A. area (sounds like LA has Atlanta beat on the traffic issue!). Saturday night was awesome. Seriously - no better way to describe it. After dinner and drinks, we convinced one of our friends to try the slots for the first time and she a...
Buffets Are Hot Trend for 2008 Wedding Receptions According to Crystal Rose
2008-03-13 22:14:00 Denver, Colo: With the ever increasing diversity of diets today, it can be extremely complicated to plan a traditional sit down dinner. The chicken or beef choices of yesterday are just not cutting it for today’s receptions. In order to serve a sit down dinner today you would have to offer guests almost ...
Review: Geoffreys, NOIDA
2008-02-14 05:52:00 Naheed, Kiranjit and I decided to step over to Geoffreys for a quick lunch yesterday. Based on my last experience there [sunday buffet brunch and beer], I was only too happy to recommend the place. I wouldn’t do so readily today. Lets talk about the environment first. Service was fast, friendly, efficient anf thoughtful. The ambience ...

Punjabi Tadka
2007-03-21 10:36:00 Centrestage Mall, Sector 18, NOIDA We had people coming over and needed to take them out for lunch. One of the guests insisted on Indian food, as that was all she liked. Fair enough. Each one to his/her own. So, instead of a quick Chinese (american?) meal at Mark Pi, we went to the restaurant opposite ...

Buffets are bad
2007-03-05 14:24:02 J and I tried a new restaurant for dinner yesterday. It was a buffet style “all you can eat” Chinese restaurant. They had an wide assortment of Chinese dishes, seafood and dessert to choose from. With over 80 different dishes, it’s probably one of the biggest buffets we have been to. Fried noodles, Coconut shrimp, Honey Chicken, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Beef with green peppers, Stir Fried green beans etc. .. they were De-Li-Cious! The steamed crab was one of the most popular dishes and the moment the cook brought it out and placed in inside the warming tray, you could just see the diners flock to it like vultures (with an almost riot-like pushing and shoving to get to the front of the line). It took just a couple of minutes from the time the cook came out, placed it on the warming tray, till it was gone. Those who didn’t get it, waited around the tray till the cook came out with his next batch and they were prepared to wait for a long time, selfishly pilling...
