Austria's federal criminal investigations bureau says the ruby and other jewels were recovered and two men and a woman arrested in a raid Tuesday in the southern town of Villach. All three are suspected of stealing the ruby, along with diamonds and other gems, from a German jewelry dealer in Milan, Italy, in August. Police say the dealer, identified only as a man from the German city of Idar-Oberstein, was tricked into going to Milan by the female suspect. Investigators say the man was seriously injured by a car during the theft. Police put the total value of the stolen jewels at US$4.5 million.

2008-05-18 17:15:00 Ni som väntar på att jag ska börja skriva om annat än i Burma igen får helt enkelt hålla till godo. Just nu kretsar varje tanke kring katastrofen där nere. Jag känner mig så arg, besviken, maktlös och så fruktansvärt orolig. Därför blir det mer Burma. Nu handlar det om ett litet brev till Carl Bildt.Skriv på den här namninsamlingen för att öka pressen på juntan att acceptera humanitär hjälp, samt för att kräva ett svenskt fördömande av folkomröstningen som hölls mitt i allt kaos och där människor tvingades rösta ja...I flera dagar har skrivit nästan samma sak här på bloggen. Jag har frågat mig vad vi bör göra. Det har gått över två veckor. Att på det sätt som juntan gör hindra hjälp från att komma in måste ses som mord. Och som brott mot mänskligheten.
