2007-11-21 11:53:00 It's 21st November already. The Black Friday is approaching and as all the tech-junkies pack their bags for the holiday season, let's have a retrospective at the year that has been. It has been a wonderful year for technology, internet, bloggers like me,the opensource people, not so much for Microsoft (even though they profited) and of course for Social Networking. We have seen the rise of some really cool new words, and the internet media has been abuzz with them. So here I have prepared a list of the Top 5 Newsmakers/News/Keywords/Events- whatever you may like to call it of the year so far. Why top 5? I'm too lazy to go for a longer list, and probably no body would be even interested in reading it. At the end for sure we will understand all the terms with a simple example. Rather we will consider one object and we will apply all these Buzzwords to that object.Let's go step by step1) AbstractionAbstraction refers to identifying key aspects (and obviously ignoring/ dropping the rest) of an object/entity for the specific application.e.g. If we consider Person as a object , then how you will represent Person ?You will write a class...
Banned Buzzwords
2007-01-01 18:35:02 Finally! I have support for my disdain for the phrase "gone missing". Yes, it's that time of year again, Lake Superior State University publishes the 32nd annual List of Words Banished from the Queen's English for Mis-Use, Over-Use and General Uselessness. I'm also doing a little jig over the fact that "We're pregnant" is banned for 2007. It's going to be awesome when the list is now playing in theaters. More buzzword banning can be found at Buzzword Hell.
