I think you should now be asking yourself why zeca is publishing an album released so early in 2000, which is a baby, according with regular Loronix releases, focused on much older music from the 50’s to the 80’s.The answer is quite simple, this album is out of print and it is really a treat, featuring Caetano Veloso Bossa Nova repertoire, taken from his releases from 1967 to 1999. Additionally, this is a lovely album and Caetano Veloso celebrates today, 07 August, his 66th anniversary. I’m a big fan of Caetano Veloso, one of the artists that most influenced my way of thinking Brazilian popular music. Happy Birthday, Caetano. 2007-12-02 05:41:00 It is great to see Caetano Veloso again at Loronix, and it is fantastic to see Caetano Veloso with an album that had a tremendous influence on my choices on music and on choices of the friends I use to make music together in 1978. Muito is not among Caetano Veloso albums that everybody acclaims, but it has very beautiful moments, especially on tunes like Ca-Ja, Muito and Sampa, probably, the most successful songs that came out of Muito. Our friend Dianod just left a comment on Gilberto Gil's album asking for more Tropicalia albums and MPB albums from the 70's. I would love to make them once in a while, but these albums are still available commercially, being the last Gilberto Gil and now Caetano Veloso as the exceptions.First thing, I'm a great fan of Caetano Veloso and I've been waiting for the right opportunity to release one of his solo albums at Loronix.
