Cam Cameron to Remain Baltimore Ravens OC
2012-02-02 13:53:00 They say if something isn?t broke, don?t fix it. This may have been the Baltimore Ravens philosophy when they decided to keep offensive coordinator (OC), Cam Cameron on their roster next season. Cameron, who just completed his 4th season with the team, was awarded a contract extension and will remain the OC. The Ravens reached (Read More...)
Early difference between Cam Cameron and Tony Sparano
2008-05-28 02:56:00 As much as I usually dislike Armando Salguero because he often times comes off as somebody who has a very high opinion of himself, he does sometimes give out good information. And in his latest chat, which can be found here, he was asked about his impression of Tony Sparano thus far compared to Cam Cameron. Here's how he responded: I wrote about Sparano at the last minicamp and my impression of him was that he is a direct, no-nonsense kind of guy. He is kind of rough around the edges, to be frank with you. He does get to the point, however, and that's a contrast to Cam Cameron. Cameron believed himself smarter than everyone and thought he could outsmart everyone. He could not. Another thing: When Sparano said he was going to answer the Taylor issues just once, I compared it to the time Cameron was faced with Daunte Culpepper questions. The difference was that Sparano held his authority a lot better than Cam. Sparano said he'd answer the question once and only two oth...

Final Thoughts on the Cam Cameron Era
2008-01-04 06:10:00 It lasted for less than a year and resulted in just one victory in 2007. Right from the get-go, this era in Dolphins history was marked with drama, as Miami chose to pass over media darling Brady Quinn at #9 and select speedster Ted Ginn Jr. (and his family). Then in the second round, the Dolphins tabbed John Beck as their QB of the future. However, Cameron won't be around to enjoy his selections, should they become solid NFL players, because he was canned. As many of you know, I was a Cam supporter. And I continued to support him until sometime in December, once the losing really got to me and we found out about potential bickering in the locker room. That was the final straw for me. But is this franchise really better off without Cameron? I know, stupid question, right? Most of you will verbally assault me for even asking this. You'll point out his numerous play calling mistakes and talk about all of his bad clock management.  ...

Breaking News: Cam Cameron is Canned
2008-01-03 16:29:00 Chris Mortensen just reported on ESPN that Cam Cameron has been let go of coaching duties from the Miami Dolphins. It is believed Parcells was just waiting for a GM to be in place to make the move. Tony Sporano is believed to be the favorite for the job. Update: Cameron’s entire staff ...

**OFFICIAL: Cam Cameron fired**
2008-01-03 15:24:00 **UPDATE #2**: In Ireland's press conference, he said that a big reason for the firing of Cam Cam was that he and Parcells just didn't know him very well and they would rather have someone who shared their same philosophies. So the rumors about the high interest Parcells has in Tony Sparano and Todd Haley are probably quite accurate. Also, ProFootballTalk is reporting that the Dolphins will be having former Ravens defensive coordinator Rex Ryan in for an interview for the head coaching job. [end update #2] **UPDATE**: It's official, as the team has announced the move on their website. New GM Jeff Ireland released the following statement: "This is a difficult decision, and I want to thank Cam and the rest of his staff for their work this past season. By making this decision now, it gives all of the coaches the greatest chance to pursue other opportunities." Also, the Herald reports that there will be an 11 am press conference with both Bill Parcells and Jeff Ireland. [en...

Cam Cameron, Randy Muller, and Joey Porter To Be Out At Miami Dolphins - Pr
2007-12-28 16:51:00 If this is true, then Bill Parcells is cleaning house big time. The organization needs a shake-up. I would link to the specific place where this is, but they don't have a standard blog system, so I can't. "SWEEPING CHANGES" COMING IN MIAMIA source with knowledge of the situation in South Florida tells us that "sweeping changes" are most likely coming for the Dolphins. And soon.Coach Cam Cameron? Out. General Manager Randy Mueller? Out as soon as Monday, even though he's been doing research all year for free agency and the draft. We're told that Parcells already has been working directly with the league office to obtain the appropriate permissions to hire Cowboys V.P. of college and pro scouting Jeff Ireland. As Peter King of SI.com pointed out earlier in the week in his MMQB column, Parcells' contract makes clear that he merely is the overseer of the football operations."We set it up so the general manager I hire will have that authority. I want to make it clear: I don'...
Tuna Wants JT to Stay, No Idea on Cam
2007-12-25 19:13:00 Bill Parcells, the Dolphins’ newly named executive vice president of football operations, isn’t ready to decide on the fate of first-year coach Cam Cameron or General Manager Randy Mueller, but Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Taylor is another matter. (Sun-Sentinel)Share This

Will the Dolphins Run the Table? Will Cam Cameron be One and Done?
2007-12-04 12:16:00 Both are very legitimate questions to ask. So much has been made about New England running the table and posting a 19-0 record and surpassing the 1972 Dolphins as the best team in history? The current 2007 Dolphins are chasing history as well. Having the dubious distinction of going goose egg for

Eagles Fry Fish 17-7
2007-11-18 23:13:00 McNabb Hurt Again:After throwing two early interceptions, Donovan McNabb got knocked out of the game by a take down from a blitzing Dolphins corner. McNabb sprained his right ankle, almost exactly one year away from when he tore his ACL in the same leg. X-rays were negative, but Donovan sat out the rest of the game. Right now his status for next week is uncertain.Feeley Gets Revenge: A.J. Feeley stepped in for the injured McNabb, and threw the third Eagles interception of the game. After that mistake Feeley settled down. He completed 13 of 19 passes, for 116 yards, and 1 touch down. Feeley did a good job of spreading the ball around, hitting eight different receivers.A.J. was traded to Miami in 2004 for a second round pick(ended up being Reggie Brown), and was once considered the franchise QB. Feeley struggled in Miami, and was traded away to San Diego. After a brief stint there Feeley was released in 2006, and the Eagles quickly brought him back to Philadelphia. Now Feeley got his ...
QB Change for Phins
2007-11-14 20:09:00 Coach Cam Cameron has decided to make a quarterback change for Sunday's visit to Philadelphia and give rookie John Beck his first career start in place of Cleo Lemon, said a source close to the team.Cameron notified the quarterbacks of his decision this morning. The determination to start Beck seemed to signify a change of heart since he met with his quarterbacks on Tuesday.A source said Lemon left the meeting thinking he would be making his fifth consecutive start, while Cameron made it clear that Beck should be ready for his first game action if Lemon and 0-9 Dolphins were to struggle.Lemon also left the meeting aware that Beck will become the starter at some point because the team needs to evaluate him this season.Later Tuesday, Cameron telephoned Lemon and told him he wanted to give his decision some more thought. Cameron told Lemon Wednesday Beck would handle all of the snaps with the first-team offense this week. Beck has shared snaps equally with Lemon in practice recently.B...
Cam Cameron is a Selfish Bastard
2007-11-05 19:21:00 Yeah I said it. I know I try to keep it fairly clean around these parts so pardon my “more obscene than normal” post title. Cameron has finally done it. He has shown the Dolphin fans that he cares more about saving his job then looking towards the future. Look, I ...

Cam Cameron Approval Rating Update
2007-07-29 10:10:00 I thought that now would be a good time to note where Cam's approval rating currently is as we start training camp and then reset it and see how it fluctuates between now and the team's first preseasn game (when I will reset it yet again). So here's where Cam stands now: Cam's Approval Rating Through start of training camp (7/28): 91% Remember to cast your vote (in the right sidebar) every so often to let us all know if you approve of the job that first year head coach Cam Cameron is doing.

Cam Cameron's Approval Rating
2007-07-17 07:06:00 I'd like to point out a new addition to the site. If you look over to the right, you'd notice a new poll. Much like a political approval rating, this new poll is a simple way to see if Dolphin fans approve of the job new head coach Cam Cameron has done so far. It will always be there and I will reset the poll every so often so we can see if his "approval rating" is rising or falling. For example, every Monday morning following a regular season game, the poll will reset. It will also reset throughout training camp and the preseason as I see necessary. I will also keep this thread constantly updated so that we can keep a running diary of Cam's "approval rating." I will update this thread every time I reset the poll. It's just another simple tool for Dolphin fans to use to voice their pleasure or displeasure with the team. I hope you enjoy it.

New Coach Preview - Cam Cameron
2007-06-10 16:17:00 Today starts a week of previews of this season's new Head Coaches. These seven guys are going to be seven very important factors in fantasy football this year. In alphabetical order, starting off with: Cam Cameron - Miami Dolphins Résumé Highlights: 1985 - QB Coach, Michigan 1994 - QB Coach, Washington Redskins 1997 - Head Coach, Indiana 2002 - Off Coord, San Diego Chargers 2007 - Head Coach, Miami Dolphins Impact: Cameron is a quarterback expert having helped develop Antwaan Randle El, Phillip Rivers and Drew Brees. That's good news for Dolphins fans especially with former Chiefs QB Trent Green coming in to take over. While it seems as though Green has been with the Chiefs for about 50 years, he spent the early part of his career in Washington where his QB coach was...Cam Cameron. So having Trent Green in orange and teal should mean a solid season for Green and an improvement for the Dolphins receivers. Looking past Green, havi...

2007 NFL Draft --
2007-05-01 15:16:00 "With the 9th pick, the Miami Dolphins select...Ted Ginn Jr., WR out of Ohio State..."Fans: (stunned silence)....BOO!!!....what the...BOO!!!...omg I can't...BOO!!!Cam Cameron: "...I said QUINN! not Ginn!....QUINN!....The reaction of Dolphins fans after Saturday's pick was not taken well to say the least. Moments after the blunder, Coach Cameron stepped out of the war-room, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he set the Dolphins back another 10 years by picking Ted Gimp, and got absolutely bombarded with a storm of thumb down's and boo's (I'm surprised fans weren't throwing up a different, more centrally located finger.) Watching that unfold live on TV, I have to give it a solid 9 on the unintentional comedy scale. Utterly fantastic. Another highlight has to be Quinn shaking his head after the pick was announced, uttering "Wow, I'm surprised" in such a way that later makes you realize Miami meets the Browns on October 14th, where Brady will promptly throw for 6 TD's and 500 ...

Cam Cameron Attempts To Defend Picking Ted Ginn
2007-04-30 18:48:00 Cam Cameron took Ted Ginn #9 overall in this year's NFL Draft. In this clip he addresses the Miami faithful and attempts to justify taking the Buckeye speedster instead of say Brady Quinn. The Miami fans don't seem to pleased with Cameron or the pick (plenty of boos from the crowd)

Cam Cameron Takes Over In Miami
2007-02-04 20:59:01 The Dolphins finally have a new coach to replace Nick Saban (now with Alabama) as they’ve picked up Cam Cameron. If he can work the kind of magic he’s done offensively at San Diego for the past five seasons or so then I think Miami are in for a real treat. Tip o’ the hat there. |
