"Let them fail, and let them learn from their mistakes on their own dime," says Davis. "Bailing out these two institutions will only delay the inevitable outcome of any financial firm insulated from the market by government backing. The long run damage of continuing a policy of bailouts far exceeds any short term woes in letting the market consume failing institutions." When I was a kid in the province, we seldom eat chocolates (they are expensive). Chocolates and other candies were a rare treat, and we usually had them only on Christmas, birthdays and other special occassions. Rice crispies, however,were our everyday treat. They are sweet and crunchy, sometimes sprinkled with peanuts and most of all, very affordable. It is rectangular in shape and because it is quite thick, one has to open its mouth wider than usual to have a bite of it.

2008-05-17 14:27:00 The Candy King got sobering news at the dentist this week. He will have to curtail his sugar intake. One of his back teeth is showing signs of sugar attack. He is now on a diet of carrots and apples. Not quite true, but we have cut back his sugar addiction therapy dramatically. His missing tooth is now two. Nothing alarming, just normal teeth growth. The kids have never had any issues up to now. He sets the timer and cleans for two minutes every night now.I was always petrified of the dentist at his age.
