2008-08-04 07:40:00 Ricordate l'inchiesta partita all'inizi di giugno su presunte irregolarità, ovvero il possibile utilizzo di uve provenienti da altre regioni per il Nobile e del Rosso di Montepulciano, che hanno portato al sequestro di migliaia di bottiglie di vino presso la Vecchia Cantina e che hanno visto il presidente Enrico Trabalzini coinvolto da avviso di garanzia?Ebbene, la scelta di non effettuare alcun ricorso e di preferire la linea collaborativa sembra sia stata lungimirante. E' di venerdì scorso la notizia riportata da La Nazione di Siena che Il tribunale di Montepulciano ha dissequestrato i vini dell'azienda e che tutto dovrebbe essere tornato alla normalità.L'articolo non parla invece delle conseguenze di questa interruzione delle attività durata quasi un mese, per la quale era stato stipulato un accordo sindacale aziendale che garantiva l'impiego dei dipendenti in attività interne straordinarie solo fino al 15 giugno, cioè un mese fa. We drove there for lunch today. The restaurant is located in the Edge mini mall, which is at the East border of the gargantuan new Plaza mall in El Segundo. They tried to make this part of the shopping experience more modern. There are a lot of windows everywhere, metal, straight lines dominate and some exposed brick. Not bad at all visually. 2007-08-26 19:55:00 It was a happy accident recently when a friend and I wandered into Cantina, a small but beautifully decorated bar brand new to Union Square (but lacking a sign, hence the chance that we would walk in). For such a stylish place with its Latin inspiration, art-covered walls and tree stump stools at the bar, I was rather surprised there weren't more people. The bartender working was extremely nice to us and she made some memorable drinks; one in particular I still dream about called a Laughing Buddha that includes vodka and ginger....and I wouldn't say I laughed but I was definitely smiling. I only hope that more people stumble upon Cantina because it makes a great escape to such a busy Square and that's just the type of atmosphere we could use. Grazie all’amico Roberto Giuliani abbiamo potuto così trascorrere un piacevolissimo pomeriggio nella cantina di Giuseppe Gorelli, Le Potazzine, scorrazzando tra serbatoi d’acciaio e botti di legno e degustando diverse cosettine interessanti. A partire dalle ultimissime annate, quelle ancora in affinamento, per finire con una riserva speciale del 2004 che sarà affinata ancora a lungo prima di uscire sul mercato nel 2010!.
