Z is right; couldn't be more right, and Quade is weak. This weekend has absolutely left me shell-shocked, and I am sure I am not alone, huh?Marmol has blown two wins in the past week.  The Cubs could have certainly used either win, if not both.  Zambrano had something to say about it today, and although once again he is being childish and selfish, it is real hard to argue with him.Nevertheless, now the finger pointing has started in public, and what does Mike Quade say?"His teammates will deal with him".So, what exactly are we paying YOU for, skip?  It sure isn't your sage decision-making late in games.  It isn't for your daring lineup cards, or your preparation in putting the...
Racebaiter Chicago Priest Reinstated By Spineless Cardinal
2011-05-21 15:00:00
-By Warner Todd Huston Father Michael Pfleger, one of the most hateful and divisive priests on the American Catholic scene, has been temporarily given back his position as pastor of St. Sabina Catholic Church on Chicago's South Side by Chicago's Cardinal Francis George. In a new statement posted on the website of the Archdiocese of Chicago, Father Pfleger apologizes for threats to leave the Church that he made in a radio interview last month saying he feared that his comments were hurting the Church -- something he claimed he didn't intend. With public apology in hand, Cardinal George has reinstated this hatemonger to his former role as pastor of St. Sabina Church in order to allow him to help find...
Father Pfleger NEVER Gave The Cardinal and Archdiocese An Ultimatum !
2011-05-12 03:54:00
While the members of the St. Sabina church and other supporters locally and nationally of the church and Father Pfleger's future etc, have been working hard to bring a common sense solution to this matter, the media has went to great lengths to keep up a media frenzy on the issue. This was lately shown through local and national media reports that Father was giving an ultimatum on decding on his leadership status or he was going to leave and start doing new preaching requests.  THis is NOT what Father Pfleger reported at a recent meeting of supporters at St Sabina. THANKS to Father Pfleger who immediate sent out a perspnal e-mail to members and key supporters on what he...

The Cardinal Manning Society
2010-10-23 12:52:00
The Tomb of Cardinal Manning in Westminster Cathedral, London Much attention has been devoted naturally to the Life and Works of Blessed John Henry Newman created a Cardinal by Pope Leo XIII and now beatified by Pope Benedict XVI The attention has overshadowed the life and works of the other great Catholic Cardinal in Victorian England: Henry Edward Cardinal Manning (1808-1892) Manning was unfortunate in the choice of his first authorised biographer: Edmund Sheridan Purcell who wrote a rather biased and negative life of the Cardinal after his death. This was followed by an extremely unattractive mischaracterisation by Lytton Strachey in his "Eminent Victorians" During his lifetime he was regarded as one of the most important Catholic theologian in the English speaking world. He was highly regarded by Blessed Pius IX as well as Pope Leo XIII. Leo XIII`s famous social encyclical Rerum Novarum owes much to the Cardinal. To remedy the lack of knowledge about Manning, a Societ...
Stanford Preparation: How We Can Take a Chainsaw to the Cardinal
2010-09-24 08:00:00
So maybe this years team is an improved version of last year's, or maybe their crappy teams this year were just even crappier than last years, leading to their current +104 point spread. That's a rate approaching the '95 Cornhusker mark of +38.75 points per game, and I don't think Harbaugh has quite gotten his team to that level. The question, of course, is how will Notre Dame fare?
Take That Cardinal Fans
2009-10-10 03:07:00
So, I am watching the Cardinals/Dodgers NLDS game 2 on Thursday night and with two outs and nobody on base in the bottom of the ninth inning I said to my wife and kids that the Cardinals were in great shape heading to St. Louis even in the series at 1-1. Then James Loney hit a line drive to left and in comes Matt Holliday to boot the ball and give the Dodgers life. Two walk and two hits later the Dodgers were celebrating a most improbable 3-2 win and the Cardinals were leaving the field in complete disbelief. Well, take that Cardinal Nation. You are considered the best fan base in the game and while I respect your passion for...

Cardinal Text Format In Access
2009-01-02 13:31:00
The other day one of my colleagues asked me to open MS-Word and type the expression =Rand() on a separate line and press Enter key. It was a magic that I didn't know till that time. The following sentence appears fifteen times repeatedly (in 3 rows and 5 columns) overwriting the expression itself:The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.Open a Document in MS-Word and try it out yourself. The above sentence has all the letters of Alphabet in it. You can control the printing by inputting parameters to the Function like =Rand(5,1) will print the same sentence in 5 lines in one Column. It is a built-in Function with different constructs that can accept different set of parameters and looks like created for fun, I think! It works only when you type it on a separate line. Even though it looks like a Random Function it has nothing to do with it.There is another feature in MS-Word that, I like to see in MS-Access, formats numeric values in Cardinal Text. For example, result of th...

BBC reports, "Cardinal Murphy-O'Connor urges deeper understanding between believers and non-believersThe Archbishop of Westminster has urged Christians to treat atheists and agnostics with "deep esteem".Believers may be partly responsible for the decline in faith by losing sense of the mystery and treating God as a "fact in the world", he said in a lecture.Cardinal Cormac Murphy-O'Connor called for more understanding and appreciation between believers and non-believers.The leader of Roman Catholics in England and Wales said that a "hidden God" was active in everyone's life. The Cardinal's lecture at Westminster Cathedral comes after a spate of public clashes over issues such as stem-cell research, gay adoption and faith schools. He expressed concern about the increasing unpopularity of the Christian voice in public life, saying: "Our life together in Britain cannot be a God-free zone and we must not allow Britain to become a world devoid of religious faith and its powerful contrib...

Brussels: Catholic Church Turned Into Mosque As Cardinal Leaves For Rome
2008-04-12 16:30:00
I came across this today. In Brussels Journal and Catholic Church ConservationIn the centre of Brussels, there is the beautiful Church of the Minimes . It contains a Chapel in the form of the Holy House of Loretto which was built at the same time as the Church. A house of low repute was demolished to make way for the Church and there used to be an inscription in the Church, "Where once stood a temple of Venus, now stands a shrine to Our Blessed Lady." But now can it be said?"Where once stood a shrine to Our Blessed Lady, now stands a mosque".The Chapel is now being desecrated by an occupation by a group of Kurds. They claim to be on hunger strike. Why choose a Catholic Church when there are so many other places in Belgium to protest? But is the Chapel now being used as a mosque?; the Vicariat of Brussels have neither confirmed nor denied this, despite several e-mails. The altar has been moved. The statue of Our Lady has been covered by a cloth in such a way that she is mostly hidden...

Play Like A Cardinal
2008-03-29 07:49:00
The St. Louis Cardinals are my favorite baseball team.. I would never root for another team.. But I don’t know what the hell they’re trying to accomplish with these commercials. Isringhausen will eat your hot dog? What’s that got to do with playing like a Cardinal? This next video is a little better. What is Rick Ankiel?: If you figure out the point of this video, let me know. Fredbird working out with the team: This is sort of a Cardinal and the egg situation. Did they make these shitty “commercials” in anticipation of a bad season, or are they gonna have a bad season because of these shitty commercials? Too late for this season but next year the Cards need to ask the Twins to help them out in the promo department. Tags: St. Louis Cardinals, MLB, baseball, commercial, video, youtube Share/Email This
Scottish Cardinal attacks Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill

Cardinal Keith O'Brien, the Roman Catholic Archbishop of St Andrews and Edinburgh, will use his Easter Sunday Homily to launch an attack on the Government's Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill. The BBC has published an extnded extract of the sermon:"At this time, as well as thinking of the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ we are asked to consider again what I have described as the 'essential aspect of a Christian vocation - namely to be a missionary people'.I think that there is a greater need than ever before for each and every Christian to be aware of that call at this present time.So many people are worried about the future - the possibility of banks failing; the increased cost of living with regard to food, petrol and many of those things which we find essential; our concerns about climate change and global warming; our increasing worries about the dangers of nuclear disaster. But I think that a fundamental concern of all of our people at this present time, and one w...
