2008-03-28 12:24:00
Strong resistance to a fixed bridge plan proposed by the Maine Department of Transportation to replace a Naples swing bridge is being voiced by a local group of  Sebago Lakes region businesspeople and waterfront front property owners around Long Lake, Brandy Pond and Sebago Lake. This grassroots group of concerned citizens met earlier in  the week in Augusta with MDOT officials to ...
The solution for the Causeway Jam
2008-03-14 00:02:00
Frustration and more frustration! Imagine having to sit for hours inside the vehicle just to cross the Singapore customs (and there’s still the Malaysia customs). The average JAM time has increased tremendously since the Mas Selemat escape. While most argued that it’ll remain like this until Mas Selemat is caught, here are some things it ...

Giant's Causeway
2007-10-14 18:02:00

The Giant's Causeway
2007-09-07 09:50:00
The Giant's Causeway is an area of about 40,000 interlocking basalt columns resulting from a volcanic eruption. It is located on the North East coast of Northern Ireland, about 3 kilometres (2 miles) north of the town of Bushmills. Legend has it that the Irish giant Finn McCool built the causeway to walk to Scotland to fight his Scottish counterpart Benandonner.

Previews - Giant causeway + Dublin
2007-06-21 02:06:00
photos of the dayfamous Giant's causeway featuring all of my 6 models at Belfast..Folklore: it's believed that the causeway was build by an Irish giant called Finn McCool to walk to Scotland to fight a scottish giant. When the much larger Scottish giant crossed the causeway and looking for Finn, Finn's wife laid a blanket over Finn and pretended him as the "baby of Finn" to prevent him from fighting. By seeing the size of the "baby", the scottish giant assumed Finn must be gigantic! At the end of the story, he ran home in terror while ripping up the causeway in case he was followed by Finn.. *similar structure in Scotland is known as Fingal's Cave*..Believe it or not?!photo taken at Dublin..River Liffey and the custom house at night..*hopefully my kilt is ready to be taken home tomorrow!*..Hire for a week = 53 pounds..cheers!
Admiring the Sunsets in the Amador Causeway
2007-05-16 22:41:00
No matter how many times I visit the Causeway in Amador, I never get tired of enjoying the gorgeous views. They always make me feel as if there?s something greater out there, while providing me with a much needed inner peace. Ok, maybe that?s going too far. But no matter how you feel about it, ...
Ireland trip - Giant Causeway
2007-01-24 10:21:04
15 Sep 2006 - Part 2: Giant CausewayWe got ourselves a certificate after crossing the Carrick-a-Rede bridge.. although it wasn't a big deal to cross that bridge, but it was a good souvenir for us! After the bridge, we proceed to a small town nearby to have our lunch where we already ordered our lunch while we were on board in the Mini Coach bus.. It was only sandwiches and a bowl of soup... which cost us at about 5 pound, which was quite expensive compare to glasgow where we could have a nice meal with the same price! Those "Mini Coach" people must be earning alot from this! After lunch, the bus went on to a Irish whisky brewery nearby, some of the tourists went off the bus to the brewery while most of us went off to Giant Causeway..Top left: Mini Coach bus, top right: Jetty with lots of yatch, bottom left: the National Trust building at Giant Causeway & lastly bottom right: the Causeway coaster..We took up the causeway coaster to the nearest part of the Giant Causeway..L-r: Acrix, ...
