Central Coast Foreclosures at Record High, Interest in Foreclosure Investin
2008-03-18 15:21:00
The opportunities for foreclosure investing in California's Central Coast may never be better than they are right now, according to new reports that foreclosures in the area have reached an all time high after February's statistics are in. New figures show that over 2% of all homes in the area are currently in foreclosure proceedings, a height that the state of California has never before seen. In addition, more than 6% of all homeowners are currently behind on their payments, indicating that the figure for foreclosures may still be climbing.

Robert Craig 2003 Central Coast Syrah
2007-11-08 05:05:00
Robert Craig 2003 Central Coast Syrah is made from fruit from vineyards in Los Olivos, Santa Ynez Valley, and Paso Robles. It shows a vivid clear, dark garnet color in the glass. Lifting the glass to my nose black currant, dark cherry, dark raspberry, black licorice and a hint of smoked meat and vanilla meets me. On the palate an array of big ripe, and at the same time slightly earthy, fruit and berries with dark cherry, blackberry, with peppery notes, displays. The tannins are big and soft in this medium to full bodied wine.I enjoyed this wine. It has a lot of nuances and is big and bold at the same time as it has some finesse. For the price it is a good choice. The original price at the winery was $30. I found it at the local grocery store at sale for only $ 20. Meridian Central Coast Pinot Noir
2007-09-24 00:00:00
Another bottle consumed as I continue searching for the best inexpensive Pinot Noir.  Today it's a bottle from Meridian Vineyards.  The grapes for Meridian's Pinot Noir come from Monterey County in the Central Coast region of California, where the cool air from Monterey Bay extends the growing season?typically about two weeks.  This ...

Concannon Central Coast Chardonnay, Buttery & Oaky
2007-07-28 00:00:00
I'll keep this one short and to the point.  I tried Concannon Central Coast Chardonnay 2004 tonight and it is good if you're into a classic buttery chardonnay with a nice touch of oak. The fruit is nice too ? pear and nectarine.  It has a nice long finish.  I think ...
Pied Violet 2002 Central Coast Merlot
2007-07-10 16:05:00
Pied Violet literally means "purple foot" in French and refers to the old tradition on stomping grapes for the crush. This 2002 Central Coast Merlot shows a dark red/purple color in the glass. On the nose dark cherry and plum with a whiff of spicy oak leaves an impression. Taking my first sip red and dark cherries with plum, spice and a touch of cranberry, hits me. Moderate acidity and soft, smooth tannins makes this wine extremely accessible and drinkable. Great on its own or pair it with some summer BBQ, like a pork tenderloin, not to spicy sausage, or a flank steak. We received this wine as a gift (thanks Mindy!) and there is only one site online where I could find it available, WineShopAtHome.com. You can find it there for $15.50. When taking price into account I think this is a great soft/smooth, easy-to-drink, summer red, no greater complexity to it but not in any way to thin, that will prove to be a great crowd pleaser at any event.Vote for my blog here and help me stay in top ...
Overleaf Lodge and Spa in Yachats, Oregon's Central Coast
2007-06-09 17:40:00
SeeTheGlobe.com Travel Article :: The Overleaf Lodge proprietors have set up a very good Internet presence for themselves. When searching for a place to stay on Oregon's Central Coast it kept coming up as the number one choice over and over again. Not only did they place high in the search and directory results, they had excellent reviews. Their web site is also quite impressive which definitely influenced me as a "web kind of person". Their prices were right and the rooms seemed nice. We called them a week ahead before our trip considered ourselves lucky to find accommodation here. As it turns out, we were to visit Yachats around Memorial Day (end of May) just before the main tourist season starts and plenty of rooms were available. We booked the Inglenook room for two nights. Summerland Winery 2006 Central Coast Sauvignon Blanc
2007-04-24 05:17:00
The Summerland Winery 2006 Central Coast Sauvignon Blanc has a very pale, brilliant, straw color in the glass. Stick your nose in the glass and discover tropical fruit, white peach and citrus. On the palate a milder citrus with sweet pear and the tropical fruit again. The finish is clean and fresh with uplifting, crisp acidity. A not to shabby Sauvignon Blanc.I got this at BevMo's 5 cent sale, which means that you buy one bottle for full price and get the second for 5 cents. So, I basically got this bottle for $ 8 ($15.99/bottle when not on sale). I say that is a very attractive price for a decent bottle. This would be a great crowd pleaser for that big summer BBQ, when you want to serve something good that won't brake the bank.Find it online at Wine-Searcher.com from $12.60.Vote for my blog here and help me reach top 10 on The Blog TopI am now in top 12!
Cambria, California - A Central Coast Getaway
2007-03-08 19:41:02
SeeTheGlobe.com Travel Site Latest News :: With a blazing fire, welcoming armchairs and carafes of complimentary wine, the library of the Burton Inn felt so cozily Victorian that I expected one of the other late afternoon tipplers to turn out to be a candlestick-toting Miss Scarlet. Heading upstairs, however, I discovered that except for the avocado Age of Aquarius bathroom, my room was bright and spacious. The furniture was antique, but the walls looked like they’d been painted yesterday. Rate and Review : Cambria, California--A Central Coast Getaway
