Times Now and NDTV followed IBN in that order and Star and Zee News followed Aaj Tak in the battle of Hindi eyes. So it made me curious on what was going on in the online front, and did a small research using some basic tools, and it gave a little different picture. Here’s what I did: Took a trend shot on Google on May16th, and as expected the Indian elections covered almost all the top 100 keyword trends. 2009-02-13 20:49:00 Thanks to Jihad Watch:Orchard Park police are investigating a particularly gruesome killing, the beheading of a woman, after her husband -- an influential member of the local Muslim community -- reported her death to police Thursday.Police identified the victim as Aasiya Z. Hassan, 37. Detectives have charged her husband, Muzzammil Hassan, 44, with second-degree murder."He came to the police station at 6:20 p.m. [Thursday] and told us that she was dead," Orchard Park Police Chief Andrew Benz said late this morning.Muzzammil Hassan told police that his wife was at his business, Bridges TV, on Thorn Avenue in the village. Officers went to that location and discovered her body.Muzzammil Hassan is the founder and chief executive officer of Bridges TV, which he launched in 2004, amid hopes that it would help portray Muslims in a more positive light.The killing apparently occurred some time late Thursday afternoon. 2009-02-12 12:36:00 I will not, will not say that the folks at CNN are slow: (CNN) — Thousands of villagers in rural Alaska are struggling to survive, forced to choose between keeping their families warm and keeping their stomachs full, residents say. Villagers in Emmonak, Alaska, travel to the store and to hunt by snowmobile now that the river has frozen over. But it would help their reporting if they would on accassion flip the channel, here, here. If CNN were but to flip the freeping channel they might learn something, and avoid posting stupid stories.
