The plan was to get his last single, To Life, played by as many radio stations as possible at a specific time and then replayed, if possible.They pulled it off. To Life premiered on the country charts this week at number 49, giving Arnold a charted hit in each of the last seven decades.Arnold's first hit was 1945's Each Minute Seems a Million Years and was followed by one of the most amazing chart runs of any genre. 67 consecutive top ten hits. 61 weeks at number one over a fourteen month period. 128 top forty country hits.His consecutive decade run almost came to an end at five (40's through 80's) until a duet with LeAnn Rimes on his own Cattle Call made it to number eighteen in 1999. It was his only hit of the 90's as, most likely, To Life will be his only hit of this decade.

Sinatra Debuts at Number Two on Album Chart
2008-05-21 18:59:00 Ten years and one week after his death, Frank Sinatra has the number two album in the U.S. with Nothing But the Best. The album moved 99,000 copies last week and is bettered only by the new album by Death Cab for Cutie which sold 144,000.The last time Sinatra was this high on the album chart was 1993 with his first Duets album. Prior to thses two albums, you would have to go all the way back to 1966 for any album that did as well, when Strangers in the Night reached the top of the charts.The new Jason Mraz album is number three, which is notable because it is the first time in sixteen years that the Warner Music Group (WEA) has had the top three albums.Neil Diamond's Home Before Dark falls one to seven with sales of 59,000 (down 63%) while Madonna's Hard Candy moves three to eight on 53,000 (down 43%).Overall, album sales are down 13.5% from the same week last year.

Chart highlights:As we've already mentioned a couple of times this week, Neil Diamond has scored the first number one album of his career with Home Before Dark. It took 41 charting years and 44 previous charting albums before he achieved the thrown.Also premiering this week on the album chart, although a bit weekly, is Elvis Costello's Momofuku. It starts at number 59.Of all the veteran artists that premiered on last weeks album chart, only Madonna (drop two spots) and Carly Simon (drop 8 spots) are holding fairly strong. Def Leppard dropped 25 slots, Steve Winwood went down 30 and Mudcrutch fell 45.Michael Jackson's 25th Anniversary version of Thriller is still going strong at number two on the pop catalog album and number one on the R&B catalog album chart. If it were eligible for the top album chart, it would still be at number 63, 14 weeks after release.It remains oldies time on the British album chart...

2008-05-16 00:58:00 As promised in the comments section, below is the chart for AAC:This chart looks very good, but is a little suspect. The reason I say that, is that while the stock closed at .1095, the spread finished at .093 x .10. This does not impact the technical analysis, however, I would want to see some follow through tomorrow to be more confident about it.That out of the way, let's look at the chart. The stock closed above the 20 day EMA (.104) for the first time in a couple of weeks, the MACD made the bullish crossover, and the RSI rose above 50. All bullish signals. I think the key for the stock tomorrow would be another close above the 20 day EMA. After that, I would look for a move up to .12 resistance, which also happens to be the 50 DMA. Beyond .12, there should be a lot of resistance at .13. We'll see how it goes. Support should continue to be at .09.
