The Interwebs were abuzz this afternoon with news of yet another shakeup at new Lincoln Park restaurant Sprout: "Top Chef" runner-up Dale Levitski is now running the show in the kitchen. Turns out he's been there since late October, according to Sprout general manager Tofer Kristofer. Shortly after Levitski arrived, on Oct. 30, he closed the kitchen to gut the menu and start anew. He's doing staff tastings tonight and tomorrow and friends and family only on Thursday. Sprout 3.0 (or is it 4.0 now?) opens to the public on Friday. We'll post some menu details tomorrow. ...

I’m keeping up with Top Chef through iTunes, and it’s been way past time to throw in some armchair commentary–just to add to the gaggle of food bloggers already doing so.  Do I need to say that there will be spoilers in this?  Just stop reading if you haven’t seen the first three episodes of season six yet. I was invited to compete in this year's Pennsylvania Taste of Elegance Competition, but as life would so have it, I have too many things happening on the day of competition to make it feasible for me to attend and I also am not working full-time in a food service establishment - cooking for 9 a day doesn't count.
