Wil the Taurus SHO be introduced at the Chicago Auto SHOw?
2009-02-09 16:29:00 All signs point to a SHOwing of the EcoBoost 3.5 liter DOHC twin-turbo V-6 at the Chicago auto show. Question is: will it be shown in a Taurus... and will that model be named SHO? Ford has provided additional images of the EcoBoost engine in the last few weeks. First a picture (actually provided as part of the Detroit show press materials) of the special piston used in the boosted version of the 6. You'll note the dish in the middle of the piston that the (direct) injector is aimed towards. Also note that the injector is placed in the side of the head. This is current practice - but not for long. The upcoming 4 cylinder EcoBoost engine places it on the top of the chamber (known as "central"), between the valves, pointing downwards.
