Chick flick all the way

27 Dresses - TrailerWatched 27 Dresses yesterday. I loved it to bits! It is a cute, enjoyable and a fun chick flick. Very sweet and light, with humorous scenes here and there. Katherine Heigl was brilliant. She?s one of my favourite actresses of all time. Liked her ever since I was 13, when she starred in My Father The Hero. It seems like she has this whole likeable factor going on for her. And James Marsden was totally handsome! The movie was no doubt very entertaining and splendid. Touching in some ways. Highly recommended!SynopsisJane is idealistic, romantic and completely selfless--a perennial bridesmaid whose own happy ending is nowhere in sight. But when younger sister Tess captures the heart of Jane's boss--with whom she is secretly in love--Jane begins to reexamine her "always-a-bridesmaid..." lifestyle. #Best gile! I think I wanna watch again! :DIf only life was like in the movies; where everything falls into place in the end and everyone's happy. Sometimes I think my lif...
NANA & NANA2 - A very enjoyable chick flick. Seriously.
2008-03-03 09:35:00
Normally my tastes are more manly than chick flicks, like playing football and showering naked together with other men in the locker rooms...okay, maybe that was a bit of a lie, but I feel it needs to be emphasized that you don't have to be some scrawny, girly wuss to enjoy the NANA movies. If you like JRock or most any kind of modern japanese pop culture medias you will likely enjoy these movies just as much as I did. The music is really great, the characters and their interactions are very believable and the writing is quite interesting. Basically NANA is a chronicle of the struggles a small rock band endures after being torn apart by the seperation of their bassist and their adventures as they attempt to rise up again and take the music scene by storm.
Katherine Heigl’s Not Trying to Fool You With Her Chick Flick
2008-01-17 01:45:00
Katherine Heigl didn't even get a chance to make her way out of JFK before she was spotted by the paparazzi, and even given a gift by one fan. We all know how much Ms. Heigl loves those cigarettes, and one person decided to recommend a box of Nicorette patches to help her kick that nasty habit. When she's not puffing away these days, Katherine is gearing up for the release of her 27 Dresses this weekend — but don't expect anything too thought-provoking. When asked about the film, Katherine recently said, "It's a real chick flick. It's the kind of movie I love and try to go see every chance I can get. But you know. There's not a ton of profoundness about it." ...

And I thought it was a chick-flick...

With a title like Cloverfield, I really wouldn't have had given it much thought until I read that Cloverfield is the elusive 1-18-08 movie by J.J. Abrams. Will it be one of the best monster movies ever made? Will it suck? Will it look like another Godzilla rip-off?I'm not sure if I want to watch it. I probably will though. Roughly 2 more months to go!Source
Wool on the needles, chick flick and a glass of brandy!
2007-10-08 00:20:00
My husband is busy helping out his brother with some computer problem and I'm left in front of the telly with a chick flick (Hitch with Will Smith) on the telly, and now a glass of brandy on ice by my side. Could life be much better? The knitting, by the way, is yet another experiment. It is my friend's daughter's birthday on Sunday and I thought I'd knit her a scarf. Off course, not just one of the long slim straight kinds of a thing, no, off course, I had to go for some wrap around design that I have seen somewhere on the internet, but haven't got a pattern for! When will I learn?
Popcorn, Jiffy Pop, Study Breaks, and Chick Flicks

Popcorn popping sends out wonderful smells into the room - until it burns. No one can easily cover up the smell of burnt popcorn. It lingers, despite open doors and windows. In fact, I can enter a room long after the deed is done, and I can tell popcorn has seen its demise in the vicinity. Why is that? read more

?Evening? Challenges ?Chick Flick? Stigma, Questions Life?s Pressing Questi
2007-07-09 01:55:00
CHICAGO ? ?Evening,? which failed to materialize in two previous attempts, was finally filmed in the hands of Hungarian director Lajos Koltai. In his inaugural English-speaking film, he confronts two double-edged swords: the stigma associated with an American ?chick flick? and a story that?s uplifting while simultaneously depressing.Patrick Wilson (left) and Claire Danes in ?Evening?Photo courtesy of Gene PageThe film is fixated on the deathbed of a woman who reflects decades back on the few golden moments of her life. Despite two bad marriages, Koltai ? who speaks with a thick accent from Budapest ? hones in on just two days. He says the film pays homage to the up-and-down nature of life and the big decisions we make.?Everyone is trying to belong to someone,? he said in a Chicago interview with Adam Fendelman. ?This life is not without problems. Even though there weren?t many golden moments, at the end she goes back to them because she was so busy living her everyday life. Don?t for...

The Great Chick Flick Debate - Results
2007-03-11 00:36:01
The Wedding Singer, seems to have the same polarizing effect on my readers as it does my home. Well, well, well…it’s a tie it seems with several people on the fence. It seems my hubby and I will have to continue our debate for at least another decade. My side: I think it’s totally a chick flick! Why, you say? Because I cried like a baby at the end wishing that someday I too, could be loved so intensely that my special someone would do whatever it took to win my heart and live happily ever after. Much like Pretty Woman, my favorite chick flick movie of all time. If you want to see me bawl, put on Pretty Woman at the end when Edward is giving the necklace to the hotel manager…that little exchange, if I am not already sniffleing, I’ll go into a full tilt sob. I never cry at typical movies, I pretty much only cry at chick flicks or things like Crash (which made me sob by the way, you should see it if you haven’t) or God forbid, an animal movie, and th...
