T.I. ORDERED TO PAY MORE CHILD SUPPORT
2009-02-26 16:41:00 A judge has ordered rapper T.I. to pay more child support to the mother of two of his children after she claimed he wasn’t providing enough money.The Superior Court judge on Wednesday boosted the megastar’s payment from just over $3,000 to $5,000 a month to LaShon Dixon. The 28-year-old rapper, whose real name is Clifford Harris, at first had voluntarily paid about $2,000 per month to support his two sons, ages 7 and 9.T.I., who was originally ordered to pay for the boys to attend private school, is no longer required to make that payment. The judge, Bensonetta Tipton Lane, also ordered the performer to pay half of the children’s extracurricular activities and all their medical expenses.source

"West Virginia's Department of Health and Human Resources is working on a plan that could be in place within 90 days, while Colorado is rolling out its system July 1."The casino industry opposes the plan, with one lobbyist telling AP "there's no system in place that would compute winning and losing.''"While many states check big winners of traditional lottery games against lists of people who owe child support, the National Conference of State Legislatures believes Colorado and West Virginia would be first to go after casino winnings," the article notes.
