Jose Barrera, with and on behalf of his daughter, is suing the company picnic hosts as well as the entertainment company who provided the inflatables for negligence and for recovery under the Illinois Family Expense Act. According to the complaint, Barrera's daughter fell and was injured at the company picnic while playing on the inflatable. The plaintiffs assert that defendants failed to, among other things, "prevent and/or stop any and all children, including the minor Plaintiff, to climb, crawl, jump and slide down the improperly inflated inflatables on the Premises."
