Is It Time For Chirstmas Decorations?
2008-02-03 04:39:00 Wow, with the way stores have been putting Christmas decorations out in recent years it seems like it should not be that very long before we seem them in the stores this year. Last year it was just around August that the stuff started to show up. We had just had the Christmas in July sales end. So why not have the displays show up in February? We have already had a month off right. Well not really because many people have yet to take down their lights yet this year. Maybe there is a corolation between the amount of time that mus lapse between lights being taken down and the decorations showing up back in the stores. At the rate things have been going it wont be long before there will be no time without something in the stores. Well thats true if you have ever been to Frankenmouth Michigan, home Christmas 12 months a year.

2007-12-29 04:41:00 Busy D. (age 5) had basketball practice tonight. We left the house around 5pm, and, I apparently wasn't going fast enough to suit him as he loves him some basketball practice. After practice, the coach asked me what I thought he needed to do (I have no idea why, I think it's either because he's mistaken me for someone who knows basketball since I was shooting some before practice, or, I'm the only one who'll correct my kid), and, I replied, "The only thing you can do, go get a beer." *****************...

Now, I know the Internets is rife this time of year with Family Christmas Letter observations, but, I've never quite seen anything like this one. There was an entire paragraph about the Iraq commission, another about the election, and, yet another one about the physics of the radiation of the Russian Spy death. All of this was interspersed with the usual, "We traveled here, the kids live there, the dogs are fine, etc.". I may be more averse to politics and current events than most people, (unless of course it involves Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan, or, somebody, you gotta remain current on that stuff..ooh...Nicole Richie got arrested...), but, I'm pretty sure I'd be forced to post this one on the Internet if I got it in the mail.
