I was able to resist the Christmas feeling when it first tried to wash over me, but I was able to do that at that time this year because the feeling first tried to get into my blood while Sweetie and I were at Toys R Us the first week of November, and they were playing nothing but Christmas music. 2006-12-07 04:12:06 Christmas music is so ever cheerful. And great bands recording Christmas music is even more wonderfully cheeriful. Vegas rockers The Killers are set to launch their very own Christmas track on iTunes. (And all the proceeds go to charity!) So you know what this means?! That’s right, ROCK N’ ROLL CHRISTMAS! First Billy Idol singing Run, Rudolph Run, and now a Killers Christmas original: whip out the eggnog! But hold your horses. At least one reviewer says The Killers song is, well, just not very merry at all. Rolling Stone magazine describes the song as “angst not festive,” a holiday tune not about warmth, celebration and the “overwhelming okay-ness of things,” but rather, stuck on the tedious topic of “lost innocence.” I rarely agree with Rolling Stone (the “music” magazine lost me in the ’90s with their endless boyband covers. They’re sellouts that didn’t even sell out to the man, they sold out to boyband...
