A Christmas Vacation, Err… Present
2008-12-29 19:09:00 Okay, so everybody is making a big fuss over Daniel Craig on vacation (with Andy Cohen), but I don’t get what the fuss over Craig is all about. The real hottie to be talking about is Andy Cohen. The Bravo exec is one hot man! I’ve been waiting forever for a shirtless picture of him and so now Christmas has come again. For those of you who have been swooning over Daniel and saying Andy is fat, I say take a look again. Andy is a fine specimen of a man, while Craig is not as pumped as he once was. He’d better hit the gym to firm his pecs and abs before he heads off to do another Bond film. So since Santa left nothing of monumental proportion under my Christmas tree this year (unlike last year’s TiVo Series 3), I will settle for some shirtless photos of Andy having fun on the beach. Better yet, when I make my Christmas list up for next year I will wish for Andy himself to be wrapped up in a nice shiny red bow under my tree on Christmas morning.

How I Spent My Christmas Vacation
2007-12-26 04:56:00 I hope you are all enjoying your Christmas vacation. Sadly, mine is already over, as I have deadlines piling up. We've had an exhausting few days and I'm just about ready to collapse, but I have a few holiday moments I would like to share with everyone. This was a special Christmas for the Cottrells, as it was Lois' first time to celebrate the holiday. This year also marked a new and already retired Christmas tradition: driving out of town with two children and a dog. We will get to that part later, though. Jason to Santa: "Meh."I really hoped that this would be the first Christmas when Jason could get excited about the gifts. I imagined that he would walk into the living room, see Santa's unwrapped toys (particularly Butterscotch), and jump for joy. At the very least, I was hoping to hear him say his cute little, "Oh, wow." As soon as he woke up, I stood at the end of the hall with a camera to capture his surprise: Yeesh, I would expect this kind of apathy from a teenager, but ...

2007-12-20 19:22:00 Mom let us stay up really late last night. Like, two hours past our bedtime! So when I got up at my usual time, I wasn’t tired AT ALL. The first thing I did when I got up was made sure I made the same amount of noise as a marching band to wake the ...
Ah, The Christmas Vacation
2007-12-17 02:17:00 The "real" vacation season started for us MBA students last December 14, Friday. We did not have class that day, but we did have a group paper deadline for Quantitative Analysis (QA).From that point, the exodus of students not based in the Philippines began. A lot of Indian students steadily started going out of the dorm with their luggage bags and excitement of going back to India. Students trickling out of AIM is usually see them waiting for cabs in the lobby area, with other classmates bidding adieu, even temporarily. Here's a list of things of things I've been able to do since the vacation:Eat lunch at homeWatch TVSleepRead a book not related to AIM!Shop for Christmas giftsParty hard :DI'm sure other folks have found the time to rest and do stuff. So to the AIM students all over the world, greetings to you and have great Christmas vacation.

By the end of Christmas vacation, you will be sick of me.
2007-12-11 22:39:00 On December 28th, 2006, Hardcore Film Maniac was born into the world of MySpace (or once again). After his very long haitus, he's back, and now, it's the holiday season. But while I despise the holiday season as much as Royce, I don't despise the movies that come out. This is that one period of time where they DON'T dump all of the films out, and release them for Oscar release. So, being that I have nothing to do over the holiday season aside from internet porn and swimming in a pool of movie shirts and Blade Runner, I will be spending my time at the movie theater. That means that you will be seeing reviews for...The Kite Runner*Atonement*JunoCharlie Wilson's WarWalk Hard: The Dewey Cox StoryNational Treasure 2Sweeney ToddBucket List*AVP 2The Savage*There Will Be Bloodthe ones marked with an astreick means that it will only happen if it plays in the shitty state of New Jersey. And aside from that, here's what else you can look forward to:Bargain Bin Review: "Crossroads"... yes. Billy Bob Thornton, "Beautiful Door"/"Bad Santa" musician/actor: Mr. Media
2007-07-23 13:40:00 (Return to Part 1)ANDELMAN: Have your music and film careers ever met? Has any of your music accompanied a film, for example?THORNTON: Well, actually, I?ve cut a couple of songs for TV shows that are not out yet that are coming out. I was asked to do a Hank Williams cover for a Canadian television show that?s gonna be on this coming year, and then there?s another show on Showtime that we did an opening credit song for. So I?ve done that, but I haven?t done anything for my own movies. I tend to be more willing to do music for a movie that I don?t have anything to do with really. I try to keep the two as separate as possible.ANDELMAN: I understand. Let me ask you this: could you pick out a song or two from Beautiful Door and maybe tell us a little about them?THORNTON: Well, the song ?Beautiful Door,? the title song, is an anti-war song, really. Normally, I haven?t put real political songs on my records. This whole record, really, the theme of it, is life and death and how important li...

Our upcoming Christmas vacation
2006-12-13 21:24:05 Winter vacation officially starts for us on December 21st. Our plans you ask? Well, we will be making a trip out to Dubai, UAE. What are we doing there? We'll be visiting Devante's parents! We're flying direct to Dubai from Seoul on Emirates (yes, we live a life of luxury). We'll be seeing sites such as the Burj Al Arab (the world's tallest hotel) the Palm Jumeirah, and experience Ski Dubai (an indoor ski park--in the desert!).From the day I started this blog, back in June, I have posted at least one entry per day (come on, it's The Daily Kimchi--it has to be daily) since our arrival in Seoul. This will be my 288th post in a span of five months. According to my rough calculations, I've averaged 1.92 posts per day. When we leave for Dubai, The Daily Kimchi will officially be on vacation (it's okay to cry if you are feeling emotional right now). I will maybe post a few pictures from Dubai, but other than that I will be relaxing. My blog will be back up and running on New Year'...
