Here's the kicker: She says she's co-starring in the film with Rutger Hauer and other players attached to the project are Sean Bean (The Hitcher) and Cillian Murphy (28 Days Later). Top Five Irish Films: ?Into the West,? ?Once,? ?The Commitments,? ?Bloody S
2008-03-28 06:06:00 HOLLYWOOD ? Someone once said there are two kinds of people: ?Those who are Irish and those who wish they were Irish.? While mom claimed I was the first, being an American for a few generations tossed me into the ?mutt? category. If there truly is Irish in me, it?s in my big toe or my ring finger, which hardly makes me the Irish lass I had hoped. The mission of Rachel Faith ? the Hollywood-based Silver Screen Indie Queen for HollywoodChicago.com ? is to help avoid the ?beige? film experience by providing easily accessible information on indie film, film festival favorites and must-see Hollywood classics. At the end of the day, it?s all about turning people onto new and different films using the Indie Queen?s film geekdom for good and not evil. At the end of the day, who wouldn?t want to be at least a toenail?s bit of Irish? Following last week?s column on my top five Irish actors, here are my top five Irish films. ?Into the West? (1993), directed by Mike Newell ?Into the West...
Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page: Psycho Pair of Peacock - SendMeRSS
2008-02-16 05:25:00 Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page: Psycho Pair of Peacock Talk about a devilish combination: Cillian Murphy and Ellen Page, together, in a psychological thriller that pits the two against each other. Variety reports that the two have signed on to star in Peacock, wherein Murphy plays a man with a split personality - husband and wife alter egos - and Page, a young mother who "sparks a battle" between them. The film is named for the town in which the story takes place, Peacock, Nebraska. The residents believe Murphy's egos are, in fact, a married couple. How great is that? Of course, Page is all the rage nowadays, what with her Oscar nomination for Juno and having signed onto two well-reported movies in the past month - Whip It (directed Drew Barrymore) and Drag Me To Hell (directed by Sam Raimi). Personally, I much more enjoyed Page's calm, calculating and sadistic side in Hard Candy. Since she's to play a young mother in Peacock, it's doubtful she'll flex those muscles this time ar...

Ellen Page Joins Cillian Murphy On Peacock
2008-02-15 17:21:00 Ellen Page wowed the critics in Juno and now it seems the only way is up! Page has already signed on to star in Sam Raimi’s new horror, Drag Me To Hell, and Drew Barrymore’s directional debut Whip It, but she’s not stopping there as she’s now signed on to join Cillian Murphy in the psychological thriller, Peacock. Peacock follows the story of Murphy’s character who has a split personality and fools the town into thinking his two personalities are man and wife. Page will play a young mother who holds the key to Murphy’s past. The film starts shooting in May. Sunshine(2007) Review
2008-02-08 00:02:00 Danny Boyle's Sunshine came onto the scene being heralded as the next 2001 and the new Solaris. Even for the creative tour de force Danny Boyle, those are some downright ridiculous expectations to me. I came into seeing this movie having heard a number of mixed reviews. Sunshine is nothing less than a great film. How someone cannot at least enjoy this film on a human level is beyond me. I can only suppose naysayers of this film also have issue with the presupposition that our rock called Earth rotates and orbits around the Sun and not vice-versa?

Cillian Murphy in Zoo Magazine
2007-05-06 21:30:00 Cillian Murphy is a mystery. Sometimes he looks so delicate, almost feminine, and other times he looks like this. He looks almost sickly and emaciated. Don’t get me wrong, he’s still hot, though. Source
