Speaking to the newsaper, a parliamentarian for the opposition Amal party, Ali Hassan Khalil, confirmed media reports that "civil disobedience is currently one of the options under consideration." The campaign would target all public institutions, he said, as civil servants who support the opposition would remain at home and refrain from paying taxes and utility bills.
