Dorna's initial proposal was to replace the two strokes with inline four cylinder four strokes, with a capacity of between 625 and 650cc. The engine would be subject to severe restrictions, possibly based on an a motor currently in use in a street bike, and could perhaps be a spec unit coming from a single factory.
