Cleo Lemon needs to shut the f*ck up!!
2007-12-06 21:44:00 You'll remember that following John Beck's first start at Philadelphia, Cleo Lemon made some remarks that really irked me. You can go back to read that article here. The highlights of that article include Lemon telling a reporter that he stood on the sideline and "imagined himself guiding the Dolphins on a crucial touchdown drive and maybe, just maybe, a victory. He also said: "That's what you always think as a competitor. The day you stop thinking like that, that might be the day you give it up. You always feel like you can give something to the team. By being a competitor, you always want to be on that field." Then asked about Beck's performance, Lemon said: I'm not going to talk about anybody else's performance. 2007-11-14 20:09:00 Coach Cam Cameron has decided to make a quarterback change for Sunday's visit to Philadelphia and give rookie John Beck his first career start in place of Cleo Lemon, said a source close to the team.Cameron notified the quarterbacks of his decision this morning. The determination to start Beck seemed to signify a change of heart since he met with his quarterbacks on Tuesday.A source said Lemon left the meeting thinking he would be making his fifth consecutive start, while Cameron made it clear that Beck should be ready for his first game action if Lemon and 0-9 Dolphins were to struggle.Lemon also left the meeting aware that Beck will become the starter at some point because the team needs to evaluate him this season.Later Tuesday, Cameron telephoned Lemon and told him he wanted to give his decision some more thought. 2007-10-28 18:05:00 I enter Week Eight with all for of my fantasy football teams having identical records of 4-3. One began 3-0, another 0-3, the third was 1-2 and the fourth was 2-1. What's that information worth? Whatever you want it to be. I've waited for any positive news on Raiders' QB Josh McCown because I am ready to drop Culpepper and go with Miami's Cleo Lemon or even the Jaguars' Quinn Gray in order to prevent a QB switch mid-game by the Raiders. After further thought, I decided to go with Lemon. I am too afraid of seeing Culpepper replaced if the offense struggles against a good Titans' defense. Travis Henry/Selvin Young: Given the Broncos play on Monday night, this is the type of decision most fantasy teams dread.
