At the time, I loved the album. Coheed's mix of screamo, prog rock, and pop made for a debut that was both interesting and catchy.As they continued to release albums something started to ring false to me. They started sounding like a classic rock tribute band than a band in the modern age of music. There is a difference between being influenced by classic rock and writing classic rock.
