After quitting the Mercer (Ga.) College baseball team in 2002, Miller began training in mixed martial arts fighting at the American Top Team academy in Coconut Creek. Miller, 22, has shown enough promise and charisma to nab airtime on the latest season of The Ultimate Fighter, which starts at 10 p.m. Thursday on Spike TV. Miller will be one of 16 lightweights (155 pounds) competing for Ultimate Fighting Championships contracts.
