Big College Football Day
2008-11-22 18:16:00 Unfortunately the Michigan/Ohio State game is going to be cancelled for the first time ever this year. The reason is Michigan can't get past Toledo. In addition, I heard that U of M can't access the internet; they can't get three W's in a row.I can?t take credit for these jokes. Anyway, the Michigan-Ohio State game starts in minutes on ABC.In the first round of the NCAA Division III playoffs, Ithaca College meets Curry. There?s no truth to the rumor that Curry is named for former MTV VJ Adam Curry. The game is being broadcast on WICB and is also available on LiveStats. At the moment, I can?t find any live webcast of the game. Why is Pittsburgh and Cincinnati playing twice in three days? Are they replaying the game to allow Chad Johnson to play? Oh, it?s the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Cincinnati for possibly the Big East title. I will take credit for these jokes. Anyway, the game starts at 7:00 and will air on ESPN2.Finally, the Texas Tech-Oklahoma game...

2008-11-08 13:43:00 The Polish Prognosticator16-16-1 (10,000 points)5-4 Pick of the Week My Friends,Last week was tough for the ol' Polska Prognosticator. I had my first winless week all year and droped all of my selections. One minute you have glory and victory in your sights the next relegated back to obscurity. This week we get back to our winning ways.Ohio State at NorthwesternLook. Both teams are solid but I am going to point to the Michigan State Matchup as the rationale for this pick. The buckeyes crushed MSU by 45-7 whereas the Cats' got hammered 20-37. This is my pick of the Week.Robnosticator's Pick: The Ohio State University -11 (3 Pierogi Pick of the Week) Arizona at Washington StateThe Cougs refuse.....absolutley refuse to lose by less that 45 points. 2008-09-06 15:35:00 Enzo has faced some adversity recently losing some tight games. That is life early in the season. I still don't understand how on opening night in the NFL there are 23 1st half points scored and no points scored in the 2nd half. Today's college football slate is pretty poor. There are no Top 25 teams playing each other and there are some VERY BIG lines out there as a result. I am not comfortable laying 21+ points no matter who is playing who. With that in mind I think Georgia Tech is a very solid pick on the money line at +240 today. I will give them out here at +6.5 but my money is on them outright today. GT and BC put up a combined 62 points last week. This should be one of the better games this week and GT will pull out the road victory 26-17.GEORGIA TECH +6.5 (1000 Fazools)OVER 38 GT/BC (1000 Fazools)Cry baby Richy Rodriguez had a horrible start to his Maze and Blue career last week. Robnosticator's 2008 Top 10 Worst ATS College Football Predictions
2008-08-05 01:11:00 Greetings,As many of my long time followers know, I like to use the month of August to reflect upon last years season, both how I performed against the spread and how the individual schools performed against the spread. This will be the third year I release my "Top 10" list and as you may know the last two years predictions have been spot damn on!But first, lets review my methodology and last years results...The Methodology:First, it is important to understand that my list is designed to predict who will have a losing record AGAINST THE SPREAD. Many teams can have winning records but fail to cover and vice a versa.1. I look at teams that fall into the pre-season Top 25 polls. These teams for the most part have big time football programs from schools with huge enrollment and alumni support. These alumni like to buy the hype and are casual and emotionally biased sports bettors. As such, the mere fact that their school shows up in the Top 25 gets them excited and willing to bet larger ...
