Sunday Night NFL Game Thread: Bears @ (gulp) Colts 7:15 CT NBC

If I'm being honest, I watched a combined total of about 8 minutes of Bears pre-season football this season, mostly because when I did watch, it was way too painful and depressing to continue. Our defense looked horrible. Our offense looked. . . well. . . Captain Neckbeard is our starting QB. That should tell you everything you need to know. Oh yeah, and for some reason we let Bernard Berrian walk because Devin Hester is going to be our superstar WR. Score. Since I haven't watched much of our team so far this year, I can't really write intelligently about our chances tonight, but I have a feeling they aren't good. So we'll use this diary as group game support tonight. Colts fans are welcome, but no gloating will be tolerated. If enough people pop in, we might even put up a game chat. (crosses self). Here goes nothing. Bear down! Executive Decision: Max is out of town and I need someone to talk to.

 One of two registered AQHA colts for sale. Both boys have great bloodlines and will be naturals on cattle. The first colt is a two year old palomino. He's been started under saddle and is very willing and loves to work. He has great bone and feet, is sound and easy to handle. He should mature to around 14.3hh to 15hh. Both his dam and sire are proven reining/cow horses. The second colt is a yearling perlino. He's halter broke, leads, is doing well with his feet and an easy keeper. He has a real puppy dog personality and follows you everywhere. He should mature to around 15hh to 15.1hh. Both boys offer great names right on their papers as well as just off and will be winners in the arena. If you want to breed the perlino will give you guaranteed colour. As expected, the Indianapolis Colts placed their Franchise tag on TE Dallas Clark today. This all but makes him completely unavailable this off-season. Teams can still attempt to sign the Tight End, but two 1st Round Draft Picks would be forfeited should said team be able to sign Clark. I, along with 99.9% of the NFL community, never expected Dallas Clark to see Franchise-Tagless Free Agency this off-season. Had he hit the market, that would have been as stunning as a certain TE hitting the market last friday thanks to Atlanta trying to remove any fan appeal from their football team. There's no way I can argue that the Bucs should give up two 1st Round Draft picks to acquire Clark, a Top Flight Wide Receiver who's name rhymes with Hitzgerald maybe, but not a Tight End. Especially when you-know-who is on the market and only cost $money$ .... Dang you Indy, dang you!

Tony Dungy has decided to return for another year as the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.  The announcement was made during a 3:30pm EST press conference. The Colts season ended at home with a loss against the San Diego Chargers last week.  Dungy led the Colts to a Super Bowl championship last year. Team owner Jim Irsay went on to say that Dungy very likely could coach beyond next season as well.  Next year will be Tony’s seventh season as the head coach of the Colts. Dungy is the only African-American coach to have won a Super Bowl as a head coach.

Wow. That's all I can say. Losing to the Patriots hurts.  Watching the [Colts http:www.stamedeblue.com] fall to the Chargers doesn't really make it any better, but a Colts loss is a Colts loss. It's amazing the difference in perception between the Jaguars and the Colts.  For us, advancing in the Playoffs and losing a very good game to the Patriots  leaves us with a solid season, one that can be viewed with great pride as we build on it for next season.   The Colts, on the other hand, have a season that ended in absolute disappointment.  For them, anything less than a Championship is a failure, and losing in their first playoff game to the Chargers, with their backups no less, has to hurt.
