Indy Colts Coach Tony Dungy Announces Retirement Today
2009-01-13 09:00:00 Tony Dungy is my all time favorite NFL head coach. Today, after really about three years of thinking about it, he actually did it. He retired. Dungy was the modern day Tom Landry, with a stern demenor on the sidelines and a keen football knoweldge. He was first the young star defensive coodinator who's talents were first mentioned by John Madden. Then he became head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and had what to many was his signature game in 1998, when his team upset the San Francisco 49ers, sacking quarterback Steve Young eight times. But an inability to craft an explosive offense there did him in, and he landed with the Colts. There he built the team into the modern force it is and rallied the community behind them. Tony's unshakable faith in the Lord is a guide for me. I hope one day U get the chance to meet him.

Dan Wetzel's Great Column On Tony Dungy and The Colts
2008-12-16 22:23:00 Latest playoff push a rough ride for Dungy, Colts - NFL - Yahoo! Sports: ?Through all the high-scoring victories, bids for a perfect season, wild comebacks, crazed finishes, playoff disappointments and, eventually, a Super Bowl triumph, the enduring image of Tony Dungy is one of calm.?-- The column captures Tony's persona, but should -- does not -- mention his belief in Christ.

Sunday Night NFL Game Thread: Bears @ (gulp) Colts 7:15 CT NBC
2008-09-08 00:25:00 If I'm being honest, I watched a combined total of about 8 minutes of Bears pre-season football this season, mostly because when I did watch, it was way too painful and depressing to continue. Our defense looked horrible. Our offense looked. . . well. . . Captain Neckbeard is our starting QB. That should tell you everything you need to know. Oh yeah, and for some reason we let Bernard Berrian walk because Devin Hester is going to be our superstar WR. Score. Since I haven't watched much of our team so far this year, I can't really write intelligently about our chances tonight, but I have a feeling they aren't good. So we'll use this diary as group game support tonight. Colts fans are welcome, but no gloating will be tolerated. If enough people pop in, we might even put up a game chat. (crosses self). Here goes nothing. Bear down! Executive Decision: Max is out of town and I need someone to talk to.
Two AQHA registered colts for sale - May trade
2008-06-07 03:23:00 One of two registered AQHA colts for sale. Both boys have great bloodlines and will be naturals on cattle. The first colt is a two year old palomino. He's been started under saddle and is very willing and loves to work. He has great bone and feet, is sound and easy to handle. He should mature to around 14.3hh to 15hh. Both his dam and sire are proven reining/cow horses. The second colt is a yearling perlino. He's halter broke, leads, is doing well with his feet and an easy keeper. He has a real puppy dog personality and follows you everywhere. He should mature to around 15hh to 15.1hh. Both boys offer great names right on their papers as well as just off and will be winners in the arena. If you want to breed the perlino will give you guaranteed colour. We are asking 4000 for the palomino and 3000 for the perlino but are negotiable. The only reason we are looking at selling one of them is because we will have too many stallions. May consider a trade for a well bred AQHA m...

Indianapolis Colts place Franchise Tag on TE Dallas Clark
2008-02-20 04:22:00 As expected, the Indianapolis Colts placed their Franchise tag on TE Dallas Clark today. This all but makes him completely unavailable this off-season. Teams can still attempt to sign the Tight End, but two 1st Round Draft Picks would be forfeited should said team be able to sign Clark. I, along with 99.9% of the NFL community, never expected Dallas Clark to see Franchise-Tagless Free Agency this off-season. Had he hit the market, that would have been as stunning as a certain TE hitting the market last friday thanks to Atlanta trying to remove any fan appeal from their football team. There's no way I can argue that the Bucs should give up two 1st Round Draft picks to acquire Clark, a Top Flight Wide Receiver who's name rhymes with Hitzgerald maybe, but not a Tight End. Especially when you-know-who is on the market and only cost $money$ .... Dang you Indy, dang you!

Monk and Green go into the HoF, then we play the Colts
2008-02-11 18:55:00 Per Redskins Insider the team was selected to play in the Hall of Fame game the day after inductions. I don't know on what reasoning teams are selected for this game though I have to think it is the double threat that is Darrell Green (getting in on his first year of eligibility) and Art Monk gaining the much deserved honor and respect they earned on the field. Remember, though, that the Hogs are still under represented in the Hall, and all that wonderful righteous indignity used to get Art Monk recognized could be well spent on a Russ Grimm or a Joe Jacoby -- just sayin'. Per the Official Site this is one game we can't lose, or haven't, anyways: t's the second time in five years that the Redskins will play in the Hall of Fame Game. In 2004, Hall of Fame coach Joe Gibbs made his return to the sidelines in the Redskins' 20-17 win over the Denver Broncos in the Hall of Fame Game. With the Hall of Fame Game on the schedule, the Redskins will play five preseason games in 2008. The...

Free Agent Acquisition: Indianapolis Colts Tight End Dallas Clark to the Bu
2008-02-08 04:17:00 If by some insanely lucky chance the Indianapolis Colts DO NOT Franchise Tag Unrestricted Free Agent Tight End Dallas Clark, oh the Bucs should be all over him like Jovan Haye at the breakfast table. #1 - Dallas Clark is only 28 Years Old #2 - Each year he gets better and better. Last season he had 11 Touchdown Catches #3 - Couple Clark with the addition of a Good Wide Receiver and the Offense is instantly upgraded #4 - Maybe it will help light a fire under TE Alex Smith. The potential is in him, but for whatever reason he hasnt progressed Today is the first day Teams have been able to place the Franchise Tag on its coveted players. Should Dallas Clark be tagged and all indications are that he will be, then the Bucs should steer clear. We can't afford to give up two 1st Round Picks for a Tight End. At best, Clark would be a complementary player to whichever Wide Receiver GM Bruce Allen is able to lure to Tampa. Dallas would be a great addition however and will be heavily...

Dungy Will Return as Colts’ Coach
2008-01-22 03:42:00 washington post: The Indianapolis Colts kept their coach yesterday when Tony Dungy said he still wasn’t ready to walk away from the job even after considering retirement for a third straight offseason. “I’m happy about being back,” Dungy said during a news conference at the Colts’ headquarters. “My family is happy, and hopefully our team and everyone is happy.” Dungy spent last week pondering his future on the heels of the Colts’ season-ending loss to the San Diego Chargers in the AFC playoffs. He once planned to leave coaching by age 50, but now he’s 52 and still going. Colts owner Jim Irsay and team president Bill Polian formally named the club’s quarterbacks coach, Jim Caldwell, to succeed Dungy when Dungy retires. But Dungy and the Colts left open the possibility that Dungy will continue beyond next season. “He’s back for not only this season, but perhaps beyond that,” Polian said. | read more | simi...

Tony Dungy Returns to Coach Indy Colts

The Colts season ended at home with a loss against the San Diego Chargers last week. Dungy led the Colts to a Super Bowl championship last year. Team owner Jim Irsay went on to say that Dungy very likely could coach beyond next season as well. Next year will be Tony’s seventh season as the head coach of the Colts.
