Darkcloud wrote a new blog post: John Calvin's comments on Daniel 4:35
2009-09-23 14:47:00 Darkcloud wrote a new blog post: John Calvin's comments on Daniel 4:35 “Now the opposite clause is added to complete the contrast, because though it follows that nothing is firm or solid in mankind, yet this principle flourishes, namely, God is eternal; yet few reason thus, because in words all allow God to be firm and everlasting, yet they do not descend into themselves and seriously weigh ...
BG James Comments on his TNA Release
2009-09-22 19:37:00 "Yeah. To be very honest, I was caught very much by surprise. They were using me as a road agent for the house shows, TV, and pay-per-views, but what surprised me the most was the house shows. I was really the only agent they had going out on the road for all the house shows they were doing every weekend. So that kind of caught me by surprise because I didn't think they would just call me one day and say, 'You're done. Thanks for all your work.' I kind of thought that maybe if I got let go it would be, you know, they would give me some time or something. So I was caught be surprise for sure."...More?source: worldwrestlinginsanity.com

Comments from players on VWL
2009-09-22 00:33:00 As I've said before, Andres M. is a big Mets fans who passes along items he comes across on the international sites, it so hard to find more then box scores and generic MLB updates from the winter leagues that anything he comes across is greatly appreciated.Andres has agreed to pass along what he comes across this winter along with translating it for us ( since a lot is missed in the bablefish interpretation). Today he has a few quotes from guys who are planning to play winter ball...Lance Broadway " I hope to keep improving, I have to make some adjustments to my mechanics to be a better pitcher, I think that I would be able to work on that on the WL" said Broadway. " What I'v been doing lately has not been enough to get outs, me ERA is about a million, so I have to Improve. Or I can keep pitching like that and soon be unemployed or I find a better way to pitch. I'm trying to throw from different angles.Broadway said that he will travel to Venezuela on October 8 " I will stay ove...

Comments on ?My Three Robberies?
2009-09-11 15:26:00 [I had originally done this as a blog for one of the more conservative blog networks and got the sort of responses that I had expected suggesting that the states allowing concealed weapons have lower crime rates, not an answer to my challenges and a vast distortion. Ask Wale: Negative comments, the Soldier Field turf and how to use Devin He
2009-09-11 05:43:00 ASK WALEE-mail me here. I will be answering your questions about the Bears and life in the NFL every week on my blog. I think you and Alex Brown don't get a lot of credit. You two play with so much passion on both sides of the ball. Do you use all that negative comments for motivation for your games and does it pump you up? I also appreciate you always opening up and talk to us after games and practice when we see you. It means a lot, keep it up 93. Alot of you guys are great people on and off the field. Thanks in advance for your response. - Terrence Thompson, Romeoville...

2009-09-07 15:59:00 I had not noticed that some of my postings to BNN had generated comments — mostly critical and assuming that I am not a loyal and proud to be American. Content, Competition, Comments & Copycats
2009-09-01 18:12:00 Phew...Out of breath, but back again and still going strong! Last month was an extremely busy one for The Monetizer, but to sound like a broken record, it was my best month yet in terms of online moneymaking. Ever since I went on a tear with Hubpages and Infobarrel, I greatly increased my earnings, and have started working on additional income streams beyond just Google Adsense. It's great to generate all that money from Adsense, but it's also good to know there are other ways to make money online besides the big G. I'll discuss a few of those here today as well as some other things on my mind lately about MMO... Make Money with Amazon Associates vs. EPNWith the recent banning of eBay Partner network links on Hubpages, Squidoo and Blogger, I worked feverishly to pull those down and in many instances replaced them with Amazon Associates. I have to say I'm quite pleased with the results as I focused on a specific product and made more money with Amazon Associates this past mo...
Comments from Vinny Del Negro
2009-08-29 15:01:00 Every once in awhile season ticket holders get an email distributed by the Bulls from a player, coach, GM, or just anyone related to the team. Haven't gotten the ice cream guy's email yet, but I'm sure he'll shoot off an ICEEEEE CREEAAAAM! web blast eventually. The latest piece is from Vinny Del Negro. They've mixed up the format from the three to four paragraphs discussing how hard everyone is working, how hard they'll try this year, and how much the fans impact the game to a new question and answer format which is a far better read, take a look....
Woman Sues Employer for Defamatory and Sexually Explicit Comments
2009-08-29 00:18:00 A River Forest woman is suing her former employer and supervisor for defamation with respect to statements made about her. According to the complaint, Mary Bresnahan was employed by Intuitive Surgical as a sales representative and where defendant Chip Bowman was Clinical Sales Director and senior to Bresnahan. On or about April 2, 2008, the complaint states, Bowman said to Bresnahan's direct supervisor: "Mary Bresnahan participated in gang-bangs at her previous employer and that is the only reason she had success there" and "Mary Bresnahan lacks integrity." ...
Retweet.com Launches, Tweetmeme Also Launches Re-tweet For Blog Comments
2009-08-21 06:18:00 Tweets have become a viable business model for many startups. Tweetmeme, provider of retweeting promotional plugin would soon be facing competition from a new entrant-retweet. Earlier Techcrunch announced the launching of retweet and also the ongoing tussle panning out between the two services due to clash in service names. The retweet service looks similar to tweetmeme at first glance. The major addition has been the manual submission of link to the retweet site which is absent in Tweetmeme. Even the plugin button looks quite alike tweetmeme style. Retweet Vs Tweetmeme Retweet although being similar to Tweetmeme has a major disadvantage as it transfer its domain link in retweets. Tweetmeme whereas retweets through RT at their own profile. The buttons are similar but retweet lacks few plugin options like button for rss,e-mail in comparison to Tweetmeme as the service has just started. Retweeting has been turning into an indispensible service as Publishers use it on...

The Unofficial Contest Part 3 - Comments
2009-08-18 05:46:00 Hey guys! Ok, so given that this contest is "unofficial", we don't really have a timeline for picking a name or winner at a predetermined point. In fact, when I say "we" I actually mean "me" as I was just really interested to hear your input without making this an official band thing. All the same, your responses were awesome and way more numerous than expected. So, I feel like each one should at least get a response, courtesy of yours truly, and I have copied/pasted them below (including the suggestions on Facebook). I had to go through this pretty fast, so please excuse me if I might come across a little crass or anything...I just wanted to give you...
Fierce Fandoms and Cutler's Comments
2009-08-11 15:18:00 Mike Klis of the Denver Post has a follow-up piece about Cutler's comments on the difference between Broncos and Bears fans. There are many people in Colorado whose idea of sport is skiing, rafting, bicycling and hiking. A Chicagoan may encourage another to "take a hike," but he's not about to set an example, not with that weather outside. When a Coloradan sees the number "6" they don't think shortstop, as so many Chicago sports fans would -- or at least did until Cutler came along. Yet, these same outdoorsy, well-balanced, and, yes, maybe even sports-geek Coloradans are nevertheless passionate about the Broncos. A Coloradan may hear "five-tool" player and envision a hammer, pliers, wrench and two screwdrivers hanging from...

Comments and conversations from the road
2009-07-31 18:11:00 Me: Oh my God. Isn’t this July? Tour Guide: (nodding) Mark Twain said the coldest winter of his life was the summer he spent in San Francisco. Me: (looking around and shivering) Word. My nipples just fell off. Tour Guide: (blink, blink, blink) I prefer Twain. Me: This vacation certainly isn’t the romantic getaway we envisioned. Husband: Because you stopped plucking your eyebrows and I stopped plucking my ears? Me: No. It’s because we invited the kids to come along with us. Oldest: Wow, Mom. Thanks for getting us up at 5am to visit a deserted prison where the scariest men in America were kept and where some of them shot and killed several prison guards. I especially liked the part where three of them made dummy heads before escaping through the wall. Youngest: Those dummy heads scared the bejesus out of me. Husband: It’s not a vacation if we don’t have nightmares for at least two months afterwards. Me: Say it with me: theme parks are for pussies. Husban...

Justin Cooper - final MCA performance dialogue within the comments of this
2009-07-28 03:16:00 Editor's Note: I think all this interactive performance art has "gotten" to Gretchen. She's going off the rails by using the comments section and audience response as a part of her written piece. It will start as preview, which over the course of the week will turn into a review, and ultimately a group dialogue with the artist. Colonial Williamsburg for the Liberal Humanist : An open conversation with Justin Cooper Facilitated by Gretchen Holmes As Justin Cooper's contribution to Here/Not There unravels at the MCA this week, so will our conversation with the artist unravel as well -- open-ended and pulling the issues apart like a torn Cosby sweater in a Tiki bar (which also happen to be two recurring elements Cooper's visual vocabulary). The dialog will exist between artists,...

Brooks Boyer Comments
2009-07-08 21:35:00 Brooks Boyer, the White Sox Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer has waded into the comments about attendance made by Kenny Williams' last night. One thing I've always appreciated about Brooks is his honesty and willingness to actually talk with White Sox fans. (I guess that's two things isn't it? LOL)He admits the Sox made some mistakes in pricing for the Dodger series and also looks at the entire Sox attendance question in a sober and thorough way.My take is that next season the Sox are going to have to come to a crossroad in how they operate things. If the economy stays about the same and they want to hold on to their fans, they are simply going to have...

2009-07-04 22:09:00 There was a lot of reaction to my the post Five Things On My Mind, including a slew of interesting comments from Jay, Tim, and Marty on the ChicagoNow site about what a failing nonselective school is and who should be responsible for its failure. Lots of discussion, too, about new Tribune education reporter Azam Ahmed, including this comment from Go To The Bottom: "He could do good coverage, even if blocked by top administrators, if he talked to the folks at the bottom - the students, parents, teachers, sped pros, janitors, food service, bus drivers, IT working stiff, etc. That's a legit way to do journalism." New CTA survey seeks comments on service, rider experience
2009-07-02 13:00:00 A new survey featured prominently on the CTA home page asks riders about their bus and rail experiences and how they could be better. It also looks for comments on the 80%-20% split on the gasoline tax for highway-public transit funding, and for thoughts on capital spending. The latter two issues are like preaching to the choir. But that's OK. It's good to see new CTA President Richard Rodriguez engaging his customers about the service they get and how it might be improved. In my interview with Rodriguez last week, as well as a City Club speech, he said one of his top priorities is to bring a stronger customer focus to everything the CTA does. And as new president, he wanted...

Clinton, Obama, Saudi Arabia And China. Comments On The Comments.
2009-06-07 17:48:00 The other day, I did a quick post in a pique of anger at the US criticizing China's Human Rights record while Barack Obama was travelling in or to Saudia Arabia and Egypt. I found it absurd that we would be going after China for its HR issues at the same time we were (and have) pretty much completely ignored the far far worse records of Egypt and Saudi Arabia (and Syria, and Yemen and Libya and Zimbabwe, etc.). Not only do I find this selective calling out of countries hypocritical, but I also think it ineffective. On top of that, I see it being done not so much to bring about change in places like China, but to play well politically at home. Obama was elected on a platform of change and when he does things like that, he only reinforces that it's politics as usual. Needless to say, this post brought a wealth of comments and in this post, I respond to each and every one of your comments. First off, let me say that I appreciated ALL of your comments, even those that attacked...

Steve Schmidt?s Comments on the GOP & Gay Marriage
2009-04-19 21:25:00 Last month, former McCain campaign strategist Steve Schmidt advised Republicans to “steer clear” of divisive social issues. This month a headline in USA Today suggested he had gone a step further, calling on the GOP to back gay marriage. That headline, however, did not accurately reflect the content of his remarks. Schmidt merely urged that Republicans, ...

My Day 1 Bassmaster Classic Notes & Comments
2009-02-21 18:40:00 I would have to say it was an eventful and exciting Day # 1 from the Bassmaster Classic. During the day, the online coverage was very good between Bassmaster.com & BassZone.com. Seems to me Bassmaster.com really dropped the ball by not streaming the weigh-in, I wonder how few people have access to ESPN360.com, how am I supposed to switch cable providers in time? It would have been better if it was something I could buy. It was very frustrating to listen to Aaron Martens weigh in a 7lb bush panda and not be able to see it. If someone wants to give me a username and password on their Verizon account, that would be really cool! The TV coverage was about what I expected, it was positioned for the masses instead of the hard core fans, not sure why they do that. Maybe they can really pull new fans in.... I just hope they do not replay all those Lowen, Bain, & non-fishing pieces all 3 days of TV coverage.I am a little surprised that Boyd Duc...

2009-02-15 15:07:00 While you were lingering over The Seven Best Songs That Show What Love Is Really Like, and while I was smoldering over the fact that scientists aren't happy with having jobs that don't require any actual work but instead have to go around inventing fake dinosaurs when there are perfectly good dinosaurs to serve as The Best Real Dinosaur, here's what others were looking at and what they were saying about those things they were looking at:Lamar was reading up on The Best Christmas Song, and had this to say:I know the worst Christmas song...Paul McCartney's Simply Having a Wonderful Christmastime"Just awwwweful! Um... Don't read this, Lamar.Meanwhile, "Anonymous" took in The Best Superhero, and put in his two cents' worth. (Should that be "two cent's worth," or "two cents worth" or "two cents' worth?"
