Scholes, who had an excellent game, floated a long ball to Wayne Rooney who delivered a quality ball into the penalty area for and it was an easy finish for Valencia. Second half and three immediate substitutions were made by Sir Alex Ferguson. Hernandez, Berbatov and Luis Nani were all brought on for Michael Owen, Rooney and Ji-Sung Park. As it stands, the confirmed team is as follows: Pepe Reina, Steve Finnan, Jamie Carragher, Danny Agger, John Arne Riise, Jermaine Pennant, Momo Sissoko, Bolo Zenden, Mark Gonzalez, Luis Garcia, Peter Crouch. A relatively tried and tested lineup for Liverpool but the game still undoubtedly has a “friendly feel” to it as Frank Lampard put it during the week. Should be a fantastic game ahead.
