You knew it.  Conan that Barbarian juiced up.  Yep, he used 'roids to beat those ape-men. From the Columbian (WA) comes the story of an author and actor who admits he juiced to raise his Barbarian quotient for the movie.  Now he penned a new book on how to Barbarian-up without nandrolone: From living on hippie communes in Clark County as a young boy in the 1960s to almost dying after being stabbed, Robert McRay has had a life filled with ups and downs. At one of his peaks, McRay starred in the “Conan” TV series and produced commercials for Walt Disney Co. films. But a few years before that, the 46-year-old said he was homeless and nearly died from the stabbing while he lived on the streets of Hollywood, Calif. What did you expect from that at the time, and how did it work out in reality?WENDY PINI: Richard?RICHARD PINI: Oooh. Yeah, well, the year before we signed that contract, we sat down with some of the high-ups at DC at the San Diego Comic-Con. We had a wonderful conversation around a big table. There were several of us there, Wendy and I and our agents and the DC folks. And the sky was the limit. We talked about a publishing program. We talked about merchandising programs. We talked about media programs, the possibility of movies or television or whatever. It was a great conversation. And when we signed the contract, which happened coincidentally on the exact day of the 25th anniversary, and we had a 24-hour online chatroom going so that fans all over the world could participate. We were riding high. We were feeling very,...

Conan O'Brien is about to get the Tonight Show rug pulled from under him. NBC is courting "The Daily Show's" Jon Stewart to fill Conan's late night hole. Conan's supposed to jump into Jay's chair in 2009. But now NBC suits want Leno to stay. Maybe Leno's changed his mind. NBC leaked it to Broadcasting & Cable which reports Conan could be out of a gig but $40 million richer. [B & C] Hide all sharp objects.
