Walton St. for an early December opening, about five months later than planned. 2009-08-10 23:16:00 When I first learned about condo-hotels around 2006, it seemed like a decend idea to me: the developer sell you a unit, you can stay there as many days as you want, and the property manager rents it out the rest of the time. You share the profits. On the surface, owning a hotel room doesn't seem like a bad investment choice- it's low maintenence, but you could still have a very nice vacation "home." Condo Market Reports for the 3rd Quarter in Ann Arbor

Once a month I publish these reports created by Big House Data, a firm I use in Ann Arbor to scrub the data from the Ann Arbor Area Board of Realtors. The number of listings of condos in Washtenaw County was down, the solds were up and the sale price was up from Oct 2007 to Oct 2008. The up price was 1.5% but this is still UP ! 2008-11-13 06:03:00 Nov 08, 2008Toronto StarThe Toronto condominium market was on pace with 2005 and 2006 in terms of new unit sales, according to the latest data from Urbanation.“The Toronto condo market is showing signs of softening, indicating that the ‘go-go’ market of the past few years has returned to more normal levels, as Canada feels the effects of a so-far-mild slowdown,” said Jane Renwick, executive vice-president of Urbanation.The Toronto development industry appears to be on track to sell about 16,000 new condo units in 2008, down from the record-breaking 2007, but on trend with both 2005 and 2006.A total of 15 new condo projects opened in the third quarter of 2008, and sales were strong, as 47 per cent of the 4,449 new units released were sold during the quarter. I sold one last month in 2 weeks, it was in excellent condition and the sellers listened to my advice on pricing. August 2008 saw a total of $9.5 Million in closed condo transactions. There were 56 closings in August 2008, which is down 28% from August 2007. The number of new condo listings is down 18.5% and year to date the listings for condo's is down 33%. Slowly but surely the inventory is getting absorbed. The average list price was $170,137.00 down from August 2007 by 9.5%.
