Our daughter Heidi entered an art contest at our local library, which included all the local public schools. There were only a couple of homeschooled children that entered. Her artwork (photograpy) is among 30 winners! It will be professionally matted and framed and displayed in the library for the summer. Then a local business will lease it for one year and after that, it will be returned to her. So, she will be a part of having her picture in the paper and a Gala Reception to honor the winners. I am just so excited for her! One person will be picked from these 30 to win $200 and she would sure love that for a camera she is saving up for. Peter has recently led the combined AMER Sales organisation (AMER stands for 'Americas') over the last year and a half, and prior to that he very successfully led the EMEA Sales organisation as EVP for the region. Having worked with Peter during his tenure as EMEA EVP I'm sure he'll be looking at fresh ways to engage with our customers, as he is immensely customer focused, with a real thirst for his role. I watch their four year old son Jack from time to time, and though I can tell he's a little freaked out to have a screaming little creature moving into the house, at least he's not outright hostile (like I supposedly was when the still screaming little creature known as Benjamin moved unnannounced into 12 Grant Avenue and began stealing all my toys (and parental attention)). Mom and baby doing great, too, so hopefully she's another source of babysitting income for someone whose other job pays a lot in meaning/making a difference points (not to mention Seems Credit) but zilcho in good old American $.
