Jerry O’Connell’s TMI on Ellen

Jerry O’Connell was on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today and he told her about using Rebecca Romijn’s breast pump. That is so nasty. but part of me is thinking how sweet he wants to understand what she is going through. The other part is like I didn’t need to know that. addthis_url ...
Jerry O?Connell Releases First Baby Pics
2009-01-17 01:06:00
I am in no way at the head of the line of Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn fans but even I can’t help but be impressed that these two didn’t run to the first tabloid that offered them the highest dollar for pics of their newborn baby girls. Instead, Jerry O’Connell showed the first pics of the ...

Exclusive Interview: DO NOT DISTURB Star Jerry O’Connell
2008-09-17 18:16:00
Jerry O’ Connell poses with the TV Addict, August 2008 Admittedly, this TV Addict didn’t have the chance to catch Jerry O’Connell in his new series DO NOT DISTURB prior to meeting him at the recent Fall FOX Junket. But that didn’t stop me from peppering him with questions about his own television addictions, his break-out role on MY SECRET IDENTITY and his now infamous Tom Cruise parody video that went viral last year. Jerry O’Connell congratulating THE WIRE/FRINGE Star Lance Reddick I couldn’t help but notice that you just snapped a photo with FRINGE Star Lance Reddick [see photo above] I’m a huge fan of THE WIRE, I’m kind of shaking right now. I only know that guy as Lieutenant Daniels. It’s pretty cool to see that you’re a fan of TV. It’s always disappointing when you discover that your favorite TV stars don’t actually watch TV. I love THE WIRE, THE SOPRANOS And of course UGLY BETTY… [O’Connell&...

Weird Rebecca Romijn Pregnancy

David Petraeus Nominated to Head CENTCOM
2008-04-23 23:36:00
Today, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates announced the appointment of David Petraeus to head the U.S. Central Command. In 2007 Petraeus was appointed as Commanding General of the Multinational Force in Iraq, overseeing the "surge." Through his tenure, military and Iraqi casualties have dramatically fallen, but anti-war sentiments at home remain high.It is unlikely there will be opposition to his nomination, but it will be interesting to see the reactions of Democrats as a vote for Patraeus can be seen as a vote secondary vote supporting the current course in Iraq. I for one approve of this appointment. On a political note, Republicans see Patraeus as a possible candidate for President in 2012 if McCain does not win or if he does not seek a second term. It is unclear to me if Patraeus is a Democrat or Republican. Here are some reactions. From Senator Harry Reid:"The next Centcom commander and field commander in Iraq will have to help the next president with a number of critically importa...
Ad Wars: Obama's Down Ballot Effect
2008-04-23 18:45:00
Check out our video library at Political Realm TV.Gubernatorial Watch: North CarolinaThe North Carolina GOP has produced a new ad, "Extreme," which features footage of Barack Obama's pastor saying, "God damn America,"a sermon it also implies Obama personally witnessed (he did not). The ad attempts to connect that extremism to the two leading Democratic gubernatorial candidates, Bev Perdue and Richard Moore, both of whom support Obama. The connection is rather weak, but expect more ads like this down the road. The ad has drawn a quick rebuke from the national Republican Party as well as Republican nominee John McCain. The NC GOP, however, is an independent body, so the decision to run the ad is theirs.Perdue recently pledged to run a positive-only advertising campaign. In her latest ad, "Positive Campaign Fact Check," Perdue refutes claims made by her opponent, Richard Moore.Senate Watch: KentuckyDemocratic challenger Greg Fischer has released his second ad of the cycle, "The Ch...

Vanessa Hudgens besando a otro chico (Gaelan Connell)

Senate Watch: News And Notes
2008-02-19 00:18:00
ColoradoPolls continue to show an extremely tight open seat race in Colorado between Democratic Congressman Mark Udall (pictured) and former Republican Congressman Bob Schaffer. The latest numbers show Schaffer with a 44%-43% lead--the very narrow margin is a growing trend in this contest. Though the race was initially pegged a likely Democratic pickup by most observers given the recent evidence (Democrats have picked up a House and Senate seat in recent years, adding the governor's office in 2006), we've rated the race a toss-up in our latest Senate rankings. That the race remains so close suggests that neither candidate has succeeded yet in defining his opponent. Schaffer and the Republicans will attempt to portray Udall as too liberal for the state, while Udall and the Democrats are making the opposite case for Schaffer. Though he trails in this most recent poll, Udall has a slight advantage due to his 2-to-1 edge in cash on hand.KansasAlready facing an uphill challenge in...
Bush authorizes the NSA to police the Internet?but it?ll be AT&T doing the
2008-01-29 22:18:00
Following up on my post from a little while back discussing Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell’s desire to police the Internet, the Washington Post’s Ellen Nakashima confirmed last weekend that the Decider had signed a classified directive authorizing the NSA to more expansively monitor intrusions on federal networks for signs of cyberattacks: Until now, the government’s efforts to protect itself from cyber-attacks — which run the gamut from hackers to organized crime to foreign governments trying to steal sensitive data — have been piecemeal. Under the new initiative, a task force headed by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) will coordinate efforts to identify the source of cyber-attacks against government computer systems. As part of that effort, the Department of Homeland Security will work to protect the systems and the Pentagon will devise strategies for counterattacks against the intruders. As Brian has said...

FISA Fight, Round 3: Dems refuse to cut off debate on telecom amnesty
2008-01-28 23:39:00
In a rare and welcome example of showing steel in the collective spine, Senate Democrats have voted down an attempt to shut off debate and block amendments on the FISA reauthorization bill. By refusing cloture, the bill will continue to be debated, with the next step being discussion of a 30-day authorization of the odious “Protect America Act.” If that vote fails, the Act will expire on Friday (February 1st), and (despite what you may have heard), the current FISA law will revert to being the de facto standard for surveillance guidance. Here’s how twisted and ludicrous the Bush position on this is–everyone from Mitch (and Mike) McConnell to Dick Cheney has come out loudly braying that failure to permanently pass this law and grant telecom amnesty would instantly result in terrorists being able act without fear of being spied upon. Yet Bush has promised to veto any extension of the bill. If Bush doesn’t get what he wants–permanent and full auth...

Jerry O?Connell Does A Great Tom Cruise

Wow, I?m actually surprised at how good an impersonation Jerry O?Connell does of Tom Cruise. The video is a parody of the now infamous Tom Cruise Scientology video, and it is pretty damn funny. It better be for O?Connell?s sake; let?s just say I wouldn?t be surprised if Jerry has a hard time getting film roles from now on.

Senate Watch: Rankings
2008-01-22 22:15:00
Our rankings are supersized this month, with blurbs about all 35 races across the country. Our top ten remains largely unchanged, with the open seat race in Mississippi joining the list for the first time. Mitch McConnell's race in Kentucky fell from the top ten after Democrats failed to get a top tier recruit to face the minority leader.1. Virginia (Open-R) [1]: Former Democratic Governor Mark Warner (pictured) continues to have smooth sailing on his way to the Senate. His likely opponent, former Governor Jim Gilmore, has drawn a challenge from Bob Marshall, that further complicates his chances. Gilmore should survive in a party convention, but Warner has shown no signs of slowing. Most polling gives him a lead of 15-20 points, but the Old Dominion is very much a swing state, so Warner shouldn't get too comfortable. VERDICT: Likely Democratic takeover2. New Mexico (Open-R) [3]: While Representatives Steve Pearce (pictured) and Heather Wilson duke it out in the Republican pr...
All your Internets are belong to ATT & the NSA
2008-01-18 15:20:00
Two seemingly coincidental bits of news crossed my desk yesterday morning. First, the Wall Street Journal contains excerpts of an interview with Director of National Intelligence Mike McConnell in which he outlines a vast new initiative to police Internet traffic “for abuse.” Meanwhile, AT&T announced that it plans to extend its initiative to examine packets of information on its network for illegally traded content, becoming, in effect, the Internet’s traffic cop. Let’s see…the world’s largest telecom company states it’s in negotiations with major entertainment conglomerate to police the Internet on their behalf, on the same day the DNI announces the government wants more eyes on Internet traffic? Mike McConnell is an old friend to the major telecom companies, having most recently stumped on their behalf to grant them retroactive immunity from prosecution in the NSA’s illegal surveillance program. He’s also a big fan of priv...

Due to the holiday break and the beginning of the primary season, we haven't touched on Senate campaign news for a while. So it's time to catch up.AlaskaRepublican Ted Stevens (pictured) earned a primary challenge this week in the midst of an ethics scandal that could drive the veteran lawmaker from office. Businessman David Cuddy, who challenged Stevens in 1996 and earned 27% of the vote, announced that he will again seek the Republican nomination. Since his appointment in 1968, Stevens has rarely faced a serious challenge, but this year he could be in trouble. Polling already shows him in a tight race against potential Democratic rival Mark Begich. Democrats, however, are likely hoping Stevens makes it through the primary. The scandal that surrounds him could propel them to a surprising win in this Republican state.
