MUSIC OF THE HEMISPHERES
2012-01-11 19:37:00
Is music at the root of our human consciousness? This is the question that filmmakers, Elisa da Prato and James Fideler, attempts to tackle in her upcoming documentary, Music Of The Hemispheres (MOTH). The project focuses on the Music Of Thought Hypothesis theory by philosopher/professor, Dan Lloyd, who studies brain activity and its connection to music. This is accomplished through fMRI brain imaging, which then gets converted into sound via brain-data sonification. The result is a striking "symphony" of a person's thought patterns! Readers interested in making the completion of this project and film a reality can connect to the MOTH Kickstarter page here and pledge. Only 14 days to go for it to reach its $16K USD goal.
Live life to the fullest
2012-01-06 21:45:00
Notice what it feels like to live life completely, to the fullest. What are you doing or not doing? Everything offers you messages.  How you choose to read them determines the nature of your satisfaction. Notice you have the capacity to alter your choices.  What are you doing?  Everything serves you. Its up to you to recognize how.  Take a moment to see the light. “Begin doing what you want to do now. We are not living in eternity. We have only this moment, sparkling like a star in our hand – and melting like a snow flake”~M.B. Ray
Getting clarity is within reach
2012-01-04 05:54:00
At this moment, at this stage of your life, you may be wondering if you have a purpose.  You may also be unaware of how your mindset and conditioning prevent you from seeing your current circumstances more objectively. This moment is perfect to tap into powerful intuitive insight. To take steps to raise self-awarene-ss, is to be willing to explore deeper reasons for feeling satisfaction and fulfillment or a lack.  Engage in a process to clarify self value and acceptance. "As I begin to discover my own truth and endeavored to possess it with clarity, I became more and more alienated from that which my companions held, or professed to hold."-Juan Goytisolo
Its a matter of perspective
2011-12-31 00:07:00
Wherever you are, what you see is a matter of perspective.  Your attitude shapes how you engage the senses, how open you are to intuition, and how tolerant and understanding you are to everything and everyone in your midst.  What happens if you allow something to bother you? If you see a problem, know this is your chosen focus of attention.  If you are solutions-oriented, your focus is on the nature of every experience that is stretching you.  What stretches you now? "I never saw an ugly thing in my life: for let the form of an object be what it may, - light, shade, and perspective will always make it beautiful." - John Constable
Celebrate yourself
2011-12-23 20:55:00
Ever notice how often you celebrate events and people around you? Conditioning invites you to recognize particular days of a calendar year.  This offers reasons to experience intermittent joy based on the external world.  What about the rest of the time? Why not now and forever? Notice how often you actually celebrate yourself.  What does this feel like? How do you savour the moment and appreciate life? Know you are always worth celebrating.  You need no reason to appreciate and accept the priceless gift of existence. The holiday season comes and goes but you are here in the now.  Be aware of priceless lessons and opportunities to recognize your blessings. "Celebrate what you want to see more of." - Tom Peters
What does success feel like?
2011-12-21 11:59:00
The external world invites us to adopt different visions of success and fulfillment.  Ever notice what drives or motivates you at different stages and seasons of your life? You might respond by describing a particular object you dream of, an envisioned experience, a set of conditions or outcome. But does success always have to be out of reach? What is the deeper message? Consider the analogy of a young person who just gets a driver's license.  This person is eager and often has a heavy foot, as if always speeding to get somewhere.  You may encounter drivers who appear impatient, are always- looking ahead, but never at you, never here, in this moment.  You may begin to see this as a mirror of yourself.  Why chase after success in the future? Observe what happens as you notice the slower drivers that are no longer in a rush. What happens to stress, anxiety and intense emotions? What are you willing to notice an...

Which messages stand out?
2011-12-18 12:41:00
Anytime you are drawn to an individual, you are inviting yourself to learn certain things and unlearn others from this person about yourself.  Which messages stand out ? Who is your inspirational mentor of the moment?  What are they beckoning you to notice or realize that you had not been aware of before?  Every stage of awareness is revealing timeless, inner wisdom. "I think kids [and everyone, really] should have a mentor and a role model, but that they shouldn't take one person's opinion to be what we call final assessment or judgment about how life is supposed to be."-  Sean Paul
Invest something new in yourself
2011-12-16 03:51:00
Watch what happens as you invest something new in yourself.  You g-row more conscious and focused.  You feel energized, self-directed, and also guided by feelings you may not have noticed before.  Such sensations can arise as you attend a seminar or take steps to be true to yourself.  Perhaps you nurture a dream to join the Australian Masters or wish to remain high in the ranks.  Allow dreams to bring out the best in you.  Amateur or professional sports are teachers just like all other experience.  You gain out of life in proportion to what you put into self-growth. The power of intention is not -;something you buy.  Yet, its value is measured by the joy you feel at any given moment, related to particular life choices. You know what feels right in the heart.  Do you use and heed this inner guidance to determine how you spend your time or, where to shift your...
The Consciousness Loop
2011-03-13 19:04:00
That feedback loop in your brain that gives you awareness of the last few moments of where, when, why, who you are talking to, what your goals are and a sense that your body has been “here” for a while is the thing that makes you “self aware”. Without that loop, you would only be ...
Love is the answer
2010-10-28 04:47:00
You figure everything out on your own.  When your desire is pure and unencumbered, you experience the power of now, the unfolding of love vibrations.  You resonate your unlimited being and potential.  You reclaim your power to create precisely what you envision into being.  In essence, you are a transmitting and receiving mechanism.  You need not justify a desire.  Shape your thoughts based on how you feel.  As you sense positive vibration, know the reason for it already exists.  Invite it in.  You accept joy or resist it.
Let go of what is not you
2010-10-25 03:53:00
Sometimes you need to see and experience what is not you, what you do not prefer, as part of your process of awakening.  Consider nothing has meaning until you give it. All negativity can be viewed as a friendly messenger.  Vibrate according to what you sense is true and this is perceived as your reality. You can choose to vibrate based on what you feel is self-empowering.  Thi-s enables you to let go of what is not you.  How do you desire a particular experience to influence your remembering of timeless insights? As you choose to sense blessings everywhere, you awaken to levels of frequency, resonance and inter-dimensional beingness.  You cannot see what you are not a vibration of.  You cannot solve a problem on the level it emerges into being. You cannot be conscious of what you are not willing to feel or accept.   As you recognize that everything exists now, you discern illusory perspectives of the now moment.  Shift...

Consciousness
2009-06-28 17:14:00
EntityBalancing ActQuixotic RainbowsConsciousnessI've long had a fascination with consciousness. The idea of consciousness includes concepts like ideation, mindset, attitude, memory, mindfulness, conceptualization, creativity. One can go on and on adding aspects and dimensions to any description of consciousness, and that is precisely why it fascinates me. The human experience is so unlimited and multi-dimensional, as to appear infinite. The older I get, the more I become intrigued both by my own creative drive and by the creative proclivities of people around me. Our consciousness, both individually and collectively as an evolving species, is something to celebrate!Working with my husband on the house these past weeks, has me painting moldings and doors in my sleep! Thank goodness I can squeeze in an hour or so in the evenings, to produce some digital art. The creative act expands my mind and releases me from the ties to everyday activities, which can get pretty repetitive....

Evolution and the Mystery of Mind and Consciousness
2009-02-16 09:25:00
The mystery of consciousness and the tenacity of belief in mind-body dualism is still a very common refuge for theistic evolutionists, IDers, and creationists (the whole spectrum of theists basically). It makes sense too, because the workings of the brain remain the biggest remaining “black box” in biology. Still, we know a lot about it. ...

The Consciousness Revolution has Begun
2008-11-12 22:33:00
For many years the psychology field assumed it was impossible for a person to drop voluntarily down to alpha and retain conscious thinking control.Alpha is the state where your brain rhythm tends to “centre” around 10 cycles per second (cps). It was always assumed that once a person entered alpha (like the daydream state), they would be unable to direct their thoughts and probably fall asleep. This was until Jose Silva demonstrated otherwise. He proved conclusively that people could operate consciously in alpha and retain control of their thinking at the same time. These days there are people who can drop down to a lower level of Theta (3-7cps) - and still maintain conscious control! There are even a handful of people who can drop down to mind-awake-body-asleep in delta! What is happening at this level is that your conscious and your subconscious mind are operating simultaneously, giving you an increase in mental capacity and opening up your 6th sense. Women tend to use both brai...

Well the mind wanders and however it does sometimes thinks of something new to dig up. I just made a list of every decent verse from the diarrhea song from many contributors, as many are made up you have to sort the wheat from the chaff, figuratively speaking. I nearly posted it all here but will save that for when I've got absolutely nothing to write, besides 'It's brown and it's mushy and it squirts out your tushy, diarrhea, diarrhea'. I'm quite sure Shakespeare would have used it in King Lear (or Richard III of course) had it been around at the time. A horse a horse my kingdom for a horse. It dribbles on your feet when you're running down the street. You get the picture.Anyway, from one of my favourite subjects to real life. Plenty of shit there of course but when it's your own carpet the joke doesn't happen. I think had I been in a different situation now (and had better health but the two probably go together) I'd have a pretty good life, had I been free and unobligat...

I'm not sure from where came the association of David Icke's name with antisemitic, antigovernment conspiracy theorists, but the association existed in my mind nevertheless - before I watched the video. I expected it to be subversive, antisemitic or to advocate violence and hatred against those who have political power - and I didn't see that at all. I really liked the message as expressed in this video. His basic message is one I too advocate - namely, dare to be true to yourself.(Hat-tip to l'l tike oon for link to the video.)Video here.

10 Steps to be more fully aware of your transformation
2008-06-07 06:22:00
On some level, all human beings sense things are changing inside and outside them all the time. You may always not be able to describe what you’re thinking and feeling, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t happening. You are learning to bring balance to unbalanced energy situations. You may ask, “how?”Energy and light convey what is happening through vibration, pulsation and other sensations. This may affect your perspective, personality and traits that evolve within yourself. Parts of you are awakening to note insights and feelings that are less familiar.1) Stop generating negative thoughts. As you learn to drop feelings of uneasiness and apprehension, you pay more attention to core feelings and your inner dialogue changes.2) Dissolve sparks of doubt. Turn off that analytic part of your mind that wants to question. Listen instead to that part of you that knows it has access to all the answers.3) Honour and reinforce who you really are. Rather than contemplat...
Which messages are you sending?
2008-06-06 08:56:00
How you choose to live sends messages back to yourself about what works and what doesn’t. As you become more discerning of your thoughts and feelings, you gain a sense of what serves you and what doesn’t.  How to accept what you have come to know as your truth? If you question ideas part of you believes are true, this essentially means you question your senses, your beliefs, your underlying faith. Why nurture doubt? Could it be messages you interpret within appear incomplete? If you do not see or experience something you truly desire immediately, this doesn’t mean the opportunity doesn’t exist. This doesn’t mean you haven’t yet imagined a way to achieve your dreams.  You may simply be unaware you have already created what you want. It’s an issue of selective perception. You may be situated in a mindset that doesn’t permit you to “see.” Will you expand your senses? It’s always possible to c...
5 Signposts to re-orient your journey
2008-06-05 10:07:00
As you progress along your life journey, it can be helpful to refer periodically to signposts, that is, ideas to ground or re-orient your experiences to keep you on tack.  Its possible for your thoughts and feelings to evolve in ways that do not serve you.  As you step back from whatever you are doing or thinking, ask yourself the impact of these points;1) No road you take is better than any other. You may have heard the phrase, "all roads lead to Rome."   Regardless of you choices of work, relationships, thoughts, feelings, leisure or other endeavours, your destination is the same. How you get there and how long it takes will vary, based on your free will and whether you choose to make things more complicated than they are.  Recognize that your assessment of 'better' is a judgment and judgment is something you are learning to dissolve completely.  2) Every choice you make is a blessing.  Your choices are ways y...
What if "nowhere" is actually somewhere meaningful?
2008-06-04 00:33:00
How quick human beings can assume they are getting "nowhere." This hypothetical place often evokes negative feelings of impatience, frustration and confusion.  How did you get there? The imagined discomfort you feel pushes you to ask when you will leave.  Hmm...What if "nowhere" is actually somewhere meaningful? What if you are where you are and you feel as you do for good reason you haven't figured out yet?  Each of us has choices to move through life more or less aware.  You might ask, "but, aware of what exactly?"You may not realize that you frequently make different kinds of decisions at different levels.  You are only consciously aware of some of these choices, and even fewer of the implications.  Each choice can lead to more than one outcome.  If you're unaware of certain undesirable implications, then this prevents you from making another choice. As you evolve to listen to parts of your authentic...
Kabbalah on Green: Consciousness and the Environment
2008-06-03 03:12:00
A new installment in the Technology for the Soul mini-book series. The newest of the series if not for being the most topical. I liked the book, it takes a different approach to the term "green". The book, instead of focusing on rules like turning the light off when you leave a room or separate your plastics from your garbage, focuses on "greening" up the Earth and not necessarily cleaning up the Earth. There are 3 zones of giving:The red zone: where some gives to the community as a whole in hopes that their efforts will repay them. The consciousness of expecting to get paid back for your hard work feeds your ego and taints the act of giving you make. The white zone: the most righteous of givers. They give and give and give without taking, therefore what it boils down to is a never ending unloading onto the rest of the world. The green zone: the perfect balance and what we need to all achieve. Where you give enough to the community for the pure sake of sharing, but you also receiving i...
What if your reality is a hallucination?
2008-06-01 14:25:00
Some people wonder whether what they see may be a misinterpretation or an illusion. Since your view of reality is like a picture you paint with the senses, and every sensory experience is created in the mind, you may wonder if your life isn't itself a  hallucination. Each moment, you unconsciously insert new beliefs into your perception. They are forms of energy. They transform and materialize as part of your circumstances. Most people don't sense the ongoing process, but your own mental exercise continues, even now.On some level, you engage in constant self-hypnosis.  You tell yourself to believe and see certain things, and reinforce this with repetition.  How you feel reiterates what you think.  The question is, do you make the connection? Are you aware of your beliefs? If you feel dissatisfied, uncomfortable or unhappy, it may be convenient to assume you must be hallucinating.  Yet, it would seem as though...
Reconstruct your conscience
2008-06-01 05:05:00
Some people interpret a conscience.  You may describe this as an inner sense that prompts you to judge what is right and wrong in your own thoughts and behavior.  Its the part of you that helps identify the 'right action' at the right time or criticizes others. What you may not realize is your conscience, as you sense it right now, is an untrustworthy guide.  As we grow up, we adopt beliefs of others as a means of working through our own sense of what makes us who we are.  Your self-worth grows- from there.  That is to say you grow to mistrust your body and mind, based on what others think. Our conscious mind is in the process of forming, evolving and changing. Throughout your life, you periodically abandon ideas that no longer fit with how you think and how your view yourself.  Underneath it all, you are uncovering your innate pattern of feelings. To discover that you deprive yourself of discerning and&n...
Your Body is a Map of Your Consciousness
2008-06-01 04:27:00
by Martin BrofmanYour Body Is A Map of Your Consciousness - by Martin Brofman, PhD.Everything begins with your consciousness. Everything that happens in your life, and everything that happens in your body, begins with something happening in your consciousness.Your consciousness is who you are, your experience of Being. You decide what ideas to accept and which to reject. You decide what to think, and you decide what to feel. When these decisions leave you with residual stress, you experience the stress as if in your physical body. We know that stress creates symptoms. The interesting question is, "Which stress creates which symptoms?" When we are able to quantify this process, we are then able to see the body as a map of the person's consciousness, relating particular symptoms to particular stresses and particular ways of being, in the same way that Type "A" Behavior has been able to be associated with heart disease.Everything Starts In Your ConsciousnessTo understand this map, we m...

Use your power to alter your life
2008-05-31 00:58:00
What if someone brought your attention to the idea you only remember aspects of yourself that you consciously manifest? That is, you are selective.  You focus and limit the attention of your brain based on what you think you know. What if you miss the crux? You might say, “Whoa there! Life isn’t really as I see it?” At the same time, somewhere, not so far away, in the back of your head, echoes a persistent, “Nope...” The fact of the matter is, in all likelihood, you choose not to listen to this voice as much as you could.  Ego quashes it, to deny the truth, for reasons you don’t yet recognize. Take your senses. From a young age, you train yourself to organize information based on what you’re taught is traditional sight, smell, taste, touch and hearing. You make comparisons. You’re taught certain experiences are ‘taken in’ and described using certain senses.  That approach supposedly makes your v...

Rediscover who you are
2008-05-30 02:09:00
You may not realize it, but your views on consciousness are shaped by everything that contributes to your beliefs. This includes the community in which you live, the people you know and have known, as well as your perception of whatever happens around you. How aware are you of your true self?As you reflect, you may interpret your dreams based on how people react and judge. For example, Western cultures promote and value physical objects. This means, in some settings, productivity is measured by output other people can see and use. Some people believe if you have nothing to show for what you do, or if you aren’t like them, then, you must be lazy, or not contributing or working in meaningful ways. If you sense people are judging your choices, you also judge yourself. In other cultures, the value you offer as a human being is not necessarily quantifiable. In this view, your identity and self-worth aren’t measured based on what you do, incomes you generate or how similar your...
Reclaim your personal power
2008-05-28 03:43:00
Your sense of personal power hinges on your self-worth and whether you believe your life is at the mercy of others. Your personal power is also affected by fear-based beliefs, how you view yourself, and whether you permit emotion and drama to control you. To reclaim your personal power, its helpful to review and reframe life experiences. If you are truly honest, you will admit occasions where your reactions stem from pride, personal importance or, your refusal to take responsibility for your actions. Denial drains power.Your self-awareness grows as you evolve to stop explaining, rationalizing, defending or justifying situations and choices. Such thought processes drain your energy. As you move to the mental place where you no longer compare and judge, you stop viewing opposites. It doesn't matter whether you win or lose, prove you're right or wrong, or feel superior or inferior.  New priorities transcend all that.  You move to become more objective. And so, why deta...

What's the common thread?
2008-05-23 13:11:00
What's the common thread in your most life-changing experiences? They are not about you.  They are not personal.  That may surprise you.  In fact, they could involve someone else and you could be just standing in.  You could even step back and live vicariously through someone else and get the message.  Do you begin to sense underlying vibrations? Many people share stories, and stories have intrinsic meaning.  Stories may also inspire , motivate or discourage others.  Yet, stories mean the most to those who experience them.  They're the only ones who truly understand.  Their truth must be felt by them.  The common thread isn't linked to fears evoked by stories, like shaky self-worth, esteem or whether others judge.  Emotions simply distract you. They want you to stay as you are, drain personal power and get wrapped up in fear-based beliefs. What prevents you from facing every challenge as it comes,...
How To Reach A Higher State Of Consciousness

Authenticity=Consciousness
2008-05-21 14:32:00
I talk a lot about relationships - how to use them as a barometer to see where we are really at – how healthy we are, what we need to work on.  Our relationships should show us who we really are and where we need to pay attention.      Now I am very respectful of relationships and want you all to have strong, healthy ones …but very honestly, the relationship I care the most about is the one you have with yourself.  The relationship you have with yourself correctly reflects how you understand the universe and your relationship with it.  The degree that you know and love yourself is the degree that you will know and love the universe.      How well you understand your human existence will accurately reflect your understanding of how the world works.  This is the microcosm in the macrocosm – a human life holds all the elements of the larger whole. To understand the Self is to understand the universe....

3 Reasons to listen to "that little voice"
2008-05-15 00:36:00
How often do you question whether to acknowledge a voice you hear in your head? What about those gut feelings that defy your own logic? Maybe you assume listening to invisible signs suggests you should also be seeing little green men? Would that be so odd? The latter aside, would you not gain a lot from being more honest with yourself? Consider this; 1) What if conscience is a misunderstanding?  Ask yourself what your life would be like if you stopped creating a sense of guilt in situations that originally imply no punishment or retribution.  As past, present and future don't exist, mistakes don't involve penance. Otherwise, you could easily say it came before the incident that supposedly justified it.2) What if human beings are intrinsically good?  Ask yourself if you accept your mind has free will.  As you have choices about how to consider your thoughts and actions, you can assume they are positive or negative. You can assume th...
Rethink your sense of diversion

As you think, if you view a thought as positive, you are less likely to question it.  You permit it to flow what appears a natural course.  Yet, when it comes to thought you view as negative, your emotions balk to cloud the issue.  You may sense its beneath you.  You may feel ashamed, ignore it, deny it or hope to send it back to the Source.  But, why?Fear. The thing is, you can't restrain energy.  You may think you can divert it, but that's not your job.  Its safe to express thoughts as they flow, even aggression.  Issues arise as you block and repress energy for long periods.   You see, but you don't choose to see.Consider a flowing river.  If you dam it up and water continues to flow from the origin, then the dam will eventually burst.  This can also be said of blocked energy. Does your conscious mind override your body's messages? What are you diverting or hiding from?Whenever we don't accept all our...
Quantum consciousness revisited

Hope for the Blue Planet: A Conversation with Edgar Mitchell, Ph.D.VM: How can Social Healing contribute to environmental awareness? EM: One of the fundamental principles in my understanding confirms the mystical notion that we're all one; we're all interconnected and the universe is all connected in some way. The study of quantum physics brings this notion into play; when we start realizing that we're all part of the same pattern. The physical reality of our world and universe is that we are all interphysically connected, which is a part of the epiphany I had in space. Using this notion to help us understand our environment, we can answer the questions of who are we? Where are we going? How did we get here? What is this really all about? And it's about our relationship to the cosmos which helps us to try and understand how we must work together as a team to resolve the problems of a non-sustainable future. We happen to be at a place in the early 21st century that i...
